Well, hello there my beloved fans!
I have noticed that some of you are having trouble writing. Whether it's your first fan-fic or your next update, if your looking for ways to get the mind working, you've come to the right guy!
Tip 1: From Scratch.
How this works is you think of a random word, then just write. It can be anything. But it should flow naturally, if you find yourself stopping to think every five minutes thinking, you should probably follow my other tips. All the randomness should give you an idea soon enough.
Tip 2: All The Crossovers!
How this works is simple. think of a fairly popular franchise (Example: Saints Row, Twisted Metal, Gravity Falls) and basically cross it over. Just write what you think would happen if a certain character came to Equestria or vice versa. I did a Prototype crossover for my first fic and I have to say it turned out better than I expected.
Tip 3: Take A Hike.
Go out, there's much more stuff outside the cold dark cave known as your home. Take a little stroll down your neighborhood or something. You should come across something that'll jump start your imagination and send your mind down the road to creativity.
Tip 4: Art.
Go search Deviantart or some other photo sharing site. You'll find something worth writing. Hell that's how I found my hit story "Shattered". Remember, songs can work too. I think. But pictures work best. My recommended songs for writing vary from rock songs for dark fics, and songs like "Paradise" by Coldplay are for sad fics. I'm not gonna bore you all with my list of music so I'll shut up now.
Tip 5: Take A Trip Down Memory Lane.
Access your memory and replay your life. All the goods, the bads, and the just flatout embarrassing. You'll find something worth writing about.
Tip 6: Sit Down and Brainstorm.
Just take a seat, really think, your brain will produce something eventually. But it's up to you to decide if it's garbage or just plain genius.
