Okay, so I just had this dream where someone made a dating group on this site where all you did was put up a li'l bio in a thread and whoever's interested would PM you...
And it actually WORKED.
But you didn't just throw your personal stuff out there, you used your OC's name as a codename but still listed off your actual interests and everything, and maybe be more open if you rightfully earn that "pony's" trust.
It was an odd thing to see, but a small part of me thinks it...might work?
I dunno, another part says it's a reeeeeally bad and dumb idea. Thoughts?

Well that's a clever (but also dumb) dream idea. Meanwhile, I dreamt that I was writing an important essay for school, and discovered that I wrote "everypony" instead of "everyone" before handing it in.
While well-intentioned in theory, in practicality it'll just be a breeding ground for creepers and those desperate of attention.

I did recall seeing a feature where you just try to find a potential best friend rather than a soulmate or whatever. 🤓
It sounds like a good idea use'ing code names for other ponys or your OC in particular but tho there are flaws like it would be managed this group and the rules etc and how to avoid others being taken advantage of and what not

For a serious answer...
Getting to know someone online has a lot of inherent issues because it could mean absolutely nothing when you meet in person. Online interaction and real life, physical interaction are so far apart that it's insane. You could connect with someone deeply online... and then fail to create any sexual tension or spark in person. On the flip side, you can have meh interactions online, but connect romantically and sexually in seconds in person.
Which is why if a couple hasn't met and only talks online, they're not a real couple haha. Same with online "friends" who never meet. Real life is all that matters.
Saying this because we all know most of the people will never meet.

I think it sounds like a dating site, which I have heard of through media referencing them, but I know they exist since I have seen commercials for them. Including one for fans of MLP. It has commercials on this site.
