Sorry for the week and several hour late post. I don't really have a good reason, honestly, except that XIV has really sucked me back in the last week or two. The new content, on top of making a bunch of new friends in game, has seen me logged in pretty often. Which is one reason why the update numbers haven't gone up a ton, but not the only reason.
My keyboard is also acting up. Have you guys ever tried doing anything computer-related when your keyboard just ignores about every third keypress? It sucks super bad. Which isn't really a reason for my sloth, but did lead to Chapter 9's placeholder title to be To Dream of My Missing Keystrokes.
So, I did something different for chapters 7 and 8, which I won't go into here because spoilers. However, when I went to go back to the normal writing style for chapter 9, it just felt super off. I probably wrote that chapter three separate times before being happy with it, hence the super low update for two weeks of silence. It's caused me to revaluate how I'm writing this, which will hopefully lead to more biggerer updates.
Y'know, because I've never promised that before.
