KM's How to Survive FiMFiction Guide · 9:55pm Jan 30th, 2021
Here are my personal rules for surviving Zombieland FiMFiction:
1.) Be patient.
Don't be desperate, forcing your story into everyone's faces cause more harm than good. You'll find your audience, even the most terrible stories get at least more than 1 like.
2.) Save your breath.
Posting just a video or some long read in a blog/forum gets you little to no attention, so don't waste your time. People are too lazy to watch or read stuff here apparently.
3.) In another king's castle.
Unless that person is okay with it or if it's clearly allowed, do NOT just promote your group in someone else's like it's nothing. It's kind of a dick move when you really think about it.
4.) Jam it up.
Have some nice jams playing whenever you write a story. Don't choose your favorite songs, they'll probably distract you, lol.
5.) First read flag.
When having a conversation, don't say "hey, you mind reading blah blah". Makes the potential friendship look fake.
6.) superfun Syndrome.
Just write your own darn work, people. Don't ask EVERY SINGLE person you come in contact with if they "do any commissions" or "take story ideas". Create that story baby on your own and be confident in what you make no matter what. If there's a collab, don't pester others. Make sure that person would be dedicated to the project.
7.) Respeck!
Simple as that, just show respect. Being petty doesn't solve anything.
8.) Trash talk.
Labeling everything as "trash" doesn't make you look cool, it makes you look like an asshole. If someone enjoys something you don't, don't ruin it for them.
9.) Freak flag's raised too high.
If you enjoy stories of rape and torture, you need some serious help. Like, #foreveralone if you're into that disgusting behavior. That is NOT okay.
10.) Ignore the ignorant.
If that person's ramblings make absolutely NO sense or if that person acts like he can't understand a word you're saying, just bail. They're either mental or below the age of 16.
11.) Make someone's day.
If someone is down, make that person feel special. Friend or stranger, show them they're not alone.
12.) Get a room.
If you end up carrying a loooooong conversation, I mean looooooooooooooong, take it to a PM and continue being the best of friends.
13.) Seriously, get a room.
Especially when you try to have a conversation in someone else's post instead of taking it somewhere else. That is annoying.
14.) Be considerate.
When someone's being genuine or sincere, do NOT make some lame af joke, you're not as funny as you think you are.
15.) Cringe convos.
I can't be the only one who thinks people who pretend their talking to an MLP character who playfully insults them is cringey as hell.
These are just a few in my guide that I could think of on the spot, so feel free to follow some of them if you wish.
I know some would overthink and be like, "Um, actually that rule is blah blah..."
Huh 😳
Which to bre- errrrrrrr mean! I mean follow
Totally said follow yeah... Heheh *nervous sweating*
okay, cool
16: "Pick a side"
Don't introduce yourself by asking someone if they are a certain religion, political affiliation, sexuality, ect. If the most important detail you look for in a potential friend is along those lines, then your 'friendship' is conditional at best and insincere at worst.

Good one, good one 👍
LOL
I actually wrote a story for them in 2019 after they asked me to. And when I sent it to them, I got practically no response, and they never actually published it.
Cool
thanks for the tips
