maybe in a world of odd people and odd things, I'm not so odd after all. But who knows. (they/them)

Right, most of you probably know that, when we're looking at MLP stuff, for example art, every so often we can get some not-so-great search results, since a select few members of our fandom like to be complete idiots. :twilightangry2::facehoof:

Well, for those of you who are fed up of this, the good news is that I found a loophole which seems to be working really well so far.

No joke. Ecosia seems to block a lot more of that nonsense when compared to Chrome, and I tested Chrome with SafeSearch turned on. (I have it enabled 24/7 because I'm sensible, but it doesn't always do its job.) I won't make any promises, but with Ecosia you can type "mlp" and scroll most of the way through the pictures before seeing the first creepypasta image even. (The image itself isn't too bad either. The eyes look a bit like when Stygian turned into the Pony of Shadows. Not terrifying.)

Plus, Ecosia uses its money to plant trees in areas around the world that have been deforested. :yay:

If this works, you should be able to go straight to their website by clicking on the picture. I tested it, so it should be fine.

Now go plant some trees for me!

What even is palm oil?

Simply put, it's a type of fat/oil found in palm trees. It's used in a lot of processed food (ie crisps, sweets and chocolate) as well as things like shampoo and beauty products. There's 2 problems: 1) it's unhealthy for us because it's a fat and 2) you need a lot of palm trees, and large companies cut down/burn huge sections of rainforest to make enough space for their own trees.

Why do we even use bags that are plastic?

Good question. It's not just any plastic bags though. The killers are the single-use ones. Polyester bags aren't too bad. There's also canvas, cotton and paper shopping bags though, so we shouldn't really be using plastic ones at all. It's probably down to low cost and convenience.
