Chapter Three Part 8 is up! So that’s the end of the trial. Why is it published early? Because I can.
I will be waiting to go into serious detail about the case for Saturday. For now however, I will say this: this case was complicated. It was not easy to put together. I think I changed who did what and who the culprit actually was at least twice during the making of it, because this was the first one to suffer from the reorganization I had to do after Chapter Two. And yet, I managed to get a good chapter out of it anyway.
In other news: fifth Interlude is done, and Chapter Six has been started. We’re close to the end. I still haven’t fully figured out how I’ll do the accelerated posting schedule once I finish, but it will accelerate. I'm going to be honest, my friends: part of me is impatient and wants you to have the story sooner now that it's so close to being done.
Was Dash ever the culprit for this case?
I'm glad she ultimately wasn't, but I feel like I need to know at least that much for closure for this one.

In very early stages? Yes. In the very early stages, she did actually kill Pinkie Pie. But I decided that was far too simple. So I then considered someone manipulating the whole case. Twilight's argument about Diamond Tiara was at one point the way the case was actually going to go. And then I decided I hated that, so I went with this, where Dash thinks she killed Pinkie, only she didn't.
