Sun Never Sets- Final Thoughts · 4:09pm Jan 15th, 2021
These are my final thoughts and last major change for Sun Never Sets. There are minimal edits that I want to make to the main story outside of the grammar fixes that I keep finding, but I'm not going to post changes about every last misspelled word or error. What's changing about the story is its front page and summary, as well as the most apparent part: The title.
The Sun Never Sets is becoming just Sun Never Sets. Dropping the 'The'.
Why? Well for one, I think it sounds cooler, and it echoes the title of the game it was built on, Devil May Cry. Three words, four syllables. Additionally, the name of Sunset's shop in the story is just Sun Never Sets, so I feel it's more appropriate anyway.
There is one more thing I plan to do with this story later down the line, but in its current state it's complete. This is the first project I've ever finished fully, and I'm proud to have it done. Moreso, I'm glad people have been reading and enjoying it, the comments you readers leave are great. I can only hope from here that anyone who stumbles upon this little tale will feel the same.
Going forward, I'm not sure what my next major writing project will be. I don't have anything in particular planned, but one thing I do know is that I want to continue telling these kinds of crossover stories in ways I find unique. If I tell another Devil May Cry/Resident Evil type story, it will most definitely follow up Sun Never Sets, but I have a few other games/genres that I might want to tackle that aren't in the hyper-action genre, just for a change of pace. But maybe I'll try something different, who knows?
For the moment, I'm just gonna relax, eat some pizza, and play some DMC5 to celebrate.
Stay stylish,
Dis~
Looking forward towards your next work!
