We got a puppy! · 7:27am Jan 8th, 2021
Hey, everyone.
Been a little while since my last blog post, but I decided to share something that happened a little while ago. In the final days of 2020, we got ourselves a new puppy! Everyone, say hello to the newest member of our family, Chloe!
She's a Blue Lacy, and only a couple of months old, and let me tell you... she is a biter. I guess it's to be expected, given that she's teething. Hopefully, once she grows out of her baby teeth, she'll stop biting just about everything that comes near her maw. She tends to stress our other dog out quite a bit, given that he's quite a bit older, and (understandably) does not like being bit.
Chloe is really energetic, and never seems to stop once she's out of her crate (and by "crate," I mean a bathroom with a child-barrier that we set up). She really likes laser pointers, as well. When she first arrived, she had a tendency to, well... relieve herself in the house, but with a bit of training, despite it being cold outside, we've managed to persuade her to do it either outside or in her "crate."
Overall, though, she is a very nice dog, and when not biting, thoroughly licks my hand. My parents are also on the lookout for a second puppy she can play with, and so she's not alone all the time. But yeah, just thought I'd share this update with you all, in the hope that the new year can be better than what we got in 2020.
