What I've Been Doing - Upcoming Gallbar Fic · 9:24pm Jan 1st, 2021
Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,
This blog is partly an explanation as to why my updating the chapters of "Discord Teaches Philosophy: On Love" has slowed down. Don't worry, I'm still committed to finishing the last few chapters. Yet, at the same time, I did feel that given what I've been doing that I at least owe you, the readers, an explanation.
Apart from some real-life stuff such as me trying to get back into college for an art degree, the holidays, and shoveling snow every so often; there is something else too. Only very recently can I disclose what I've been doing writing-wise that has gotten me distracted. And it's something that I'm looking forward to.
For you see, I'm writing a Gallbar fic, and Rated Ponystar is co-writing with me. While it is not a sequel to "Freeing Gallus," the story is original. It's called "Love After Life." Set years after the finale of season 9, Gallus and Sandbar died in an adventure to save the world. From there, while they adjust to being in the afterlife, coming to terms with their death and the family and friends they've left behind - they slowly develop feelings for one another, yet wonder if to do so is alright as both of them had lovers who are still alive. What makes this story unique that it's the first time I'll be writing up the whole story before posting it. So far, we're roughly 50,000 words and there are still some chapters that needed to be written up and edited. Ponystar that by the time we get all of this written and polished up, the story will start to be posted, one chapter at a time per week, by spring.
I'm looking forward to seeing it completed and being able to share this labor of love with all of you when it's finished.
