All right, you got all that? Links clicked? Sales taken advantage of? Excellent! Well then, let’s talk about characters and how they develop and grow. This post is an oldie (six years old, to be exact) but it’s a good one. So let’s dive right in!
I, for one, highly agree with the subject of “Melodrama”. I actually covered it in one of my blogs... kinda.
But yeah, the whole “melodrama” issue can get pretty bad in fictional stories. Not only is it tedious for the audience to watch it all play out, but it makes the character look like nothing but a whiny victim who’s always got their waterworks running.
