Hello readers! I’m still on break here, so here’s a classic Being a Better Writer post for all of you to sink your teeth into! And an old-school one too! But first, some news!

I, for one, highly agree with the subject of “Melodrama”. I actually covered it in one of my blogs... kinda.

But yeah, the whole “melodrama” issue can get pretty bad in fictional stories. Not only is it tedious for the audience to watch it all play out, but it makes the character look like nothing but a whiny victim who’s always got their waterworks running.
