It was only a day before he would be released from the hospital; Pharynx obviously wasn’t too happy at the moment to even think about it.
Not in the slightest.
He kept his head buried in his pillow when he heard the door opening.
“Pharynx? It’s me, Bez... again.“ The changeling walked up to him. “...Pharynx?”
After a few moments, the male changeling turned to face her; he had obviously looked like he had been crying for a while... not that he still wasn’t crying now.
Bezier’s eyes widened. “Pharynx...”
“Bez...” he choked out. “I... I... I can’t take this anymore. I’m sick of all this shit that’s been happening and I... I...” he hid his face and continued to sob heavily.
Bezier was speechless. She silently rubbed Pharynx’s carapace as he tried to regain his composure.
“I... I think it’s about time...”
She looked at him. “...What?“
“I’m...” he sighed heavily, sniffling. “I’m going talk to Tempest after this.”
Her eyes widened. “Why? I thought she—”
“I know, I know she hates me, and I don’t blame her... I don’t think she’s even gonna take me back, but I’m gonna try... for... for some damn reason, I thought I’d be happier if I had someone else in my life, but... I was happier with her... I’m sorry.”
Bezier felt him embrace her as he continued to cry. Fighting back her own tears, she returned the gesture.
