Update on Rekindling Sequel · 8:10pm Dec 19th, 2020
Hello everyone and Happy Holidays!!! I'm writing to give you an update on the Rekindling sequel.
I am, for the most part, out of the planning stage and have sort of entered the writing stage. The format for the story this time around will be different than the last story. Instead of a third person POV, Rekindling 2 will have multiple first-person POVs, let me explain. Each chapter will be told from the POV of a certain character, sometimes a character will multiple chapters in a row, other times a character may only have one chapter for the entire story. For example, chapters 3, 4, & 5 will follow Flash's POV, and chapters 6 & 7 will follow Sunset (please note that these are just examples and will not reflect the actual story structure).
The chapter titles will be the character we are following (i.e. Chapter 1: Sunset). I know this all seems confusing but, trust me, it will make more sense once the story is released.
Now, why the change in perspective? For the purposes of the story I'm planning, this format should help give audiences a better insight into a character's thoughts and also keep some of the audience in the dark on where the story is going. Also, first-person is easier for me to write than third person.
I hope y'all found the update helpful. I wanted to catch you guys up since it's been a while since I've said anything. Hope you guys have a wonderful winter break, a Merry Christmas, and I'll see you next time. Tops to you!
P.S. One final thing, I've gotten a few questions about another story of mine, Secrets of the Past, and, needless to say, it was a mistake canceling that story. So many of you clearly love it. Which is why I'm am happy to say that I will be bringing the story out of cancellation, back to incomplete, and will begin working on the next chapter once I get the ball rolling on Rekindling 2.
thx for the update, have a merry christmas and good luck with that sequel
