The third chapter to "The Golden Mask," is under works. While one of my more dedicated stories, still under-seen.
Don't mean to toot my own horn, but it's actually a worthwhile read so-far. The story itself is a crossover with Salt and Sanctuary, from Ska Studios. While it definitely follows the game, I try and give it unique aspects. At least I think so. In doing so, I wanted to in hopes of garnering more attention for it, give you all a short synopsis of chapter three's "The Harrowing Ascent."
The story itself features Scootaloo, a familiar pegasus filly we all know and love, as one of the co-main characters. In it, her arrival, pieces–places of Equus begin to materialize on the nameless isle. An unnamed god seeks to use them to mentally destroy the cursed filly. Seeing the relics of her home used for the misdeeds of others, his grasp on her mind doesn't let up.
The Black Spire, one such place, is of griffon make. A forgotten reliquary created to breach the heavens. Something a certain griffon yearned for. His ultimate goal, to ascend past the alicorns of Equestria, past godhood.
He had failed, like all of the others who had done and tried, and now rests atop of his creation. He awaits his turn for ascension, unknowingly ever further from his goal.
In his undeath, he protects the Black Spire from any and all intruders. Glavenous' Talon–his eternal army, roams the decrepit halls to protect him, from everything else.
Like a certain, little, filly...
