I don't know what to title this · 1:00am Dec 8th, 2020
COVID is in my workplace now.
All I can think about is dying before I finish this book I'm writing for you guys. Which is weird. I guess it's cause all my other personal life goals are on hold indefinitely until (if?) the world reopens, and I don't have a girlfriend/kids/anyone I'm supporting, so this feels like the only thing that's having an impact on anyone else that I'm doing right now.
Ironically, the looming feeling that I need to finish this novel is exactly what's killing all my motivation to write said novel. So it's really not getting anywhere very quickly.
Currently I'm working on a contingency plan to have my editors distribute the remainder of the story outline if I die and can't release the last two chapters.
Overdramatic? Maybe. But life-threatening or not, its looking very likely that I'm gonna have Covid shortly, so stay tuned for updates on that.

That's the kind of shit we actually have to think about these days.
Fuck.
Definitely don't go back if you can. Maybe even if you can't.

As appealing as that sounds, quitting my job means being uninsured if I DO get hospitalized, so even if I survive I have a lifetime of debt.
Take your vitamin D. We keep seeing studies come out of the hospitals saying the worst outcomes are in people with VitD deficiencies. It's almost winter, and we aren't getting enough sun anyway, so it wouldn't hurt you to supplement regardless.
Take care, PRB. Do all you can to stay safe. And try not to worry. Hope and best wishes are with you. You aren't alone. We're here for you, friend!
I mean, considering that the mortality rate for covid keeps dropping as we compile more information about it, and adjusting for the fact that hospitals were over-reporting covid cases in order to get federally-assured assistance funds for every covid case, you're probably not going to die from it if you even catch it. Practice good hygiene, keep a bottle of hand-sanitizer handy, don't re-use the same disposable mask day after day (and for God's sake don't take it off and hang it from your rear-view mirror), and take reasonable precautions. Don't let fear take over, fear is the mind-killer.
Take care PRB. If it helps, I was exposed during my time in Basic Training, and pulled through just fine. The 90+ guys that I lived with at the time came through just fine too.
Make sure to get some Vitamin D, drink lots of clean water, and work out if you can. You’d be amazed by just how much a regular workout (of any size!) can do for your health (physically and mentally).

My work provides us with fresh disposable masks, we use one per day.
I also work in a laboratory, so I have a lab coat/gloves/safety glasses on at pretty much all times, and all surfaces are sanitized with alcohol, dilute bleach, lysol etc multiple times a day. So at least the place is taking any measures they can to keep is safe... but I still have to share a building with about 50 other people, so I dunno.
FFP2 + gloves/goggles and appropriate safety precautions means you're probably safer in your workplace than just walking down the street.
Take care and don't force yourself to writing.
I am dealing now with a weak kind of "depression" right know. When I am at home, I don't wanna do anything expect speaking with my friends. I should practice English, but I don't have mood for that. I won't force myself to do that. If I do, I will probably starting hating learning English. So I decided to take a break during Christmas and after a new year hopefully I will return to study and practice English.
I wish you merry Christmas and happy new year.

Hey Pegasus Recue Brigade!
Hang in there okay and do what you can to stay safe.
Hailing from Sweden we're having it rough over here with the China Virus (Covid) too.
The number of cases and deaths are skyrocketing and I'm also very afraid though I personally do what I can to stay safe. Including taking Vitamin D (supposedly makes the Covid milder from what I've read?), wearing a facemask when going outside, choosing to go grocery shopping early in the morning and other than that staying in my apartment as much as possible.
I love your stories so much and I want you to know how much I appreciate them. They are very special.
They've been very uplifting in these times to escape reality for just a little while.
Stay safe and healthy!!!
