    For Any Owl House Fans

I've recently finished writing Vendetta For Vee, a fic set in the renewed Sky Trek (now called Last Garden) universe I've been working on. Naturally, the protagonist is everyone's favorite basilisk. If you don't know who that is, definitely recommend catching up with the show to avoid spoilers first. If you're curious about it, you can find it

Owl and the Butterfly Chapter 2-4 Out

    Hello there!

On top of Starshot, I've also been working on the first story of the reboot of my Sky Trek series, now called Entanglement, which you can find here. I'd say she's about half done now, though some of that half hasn't been posted yet.

Hogwarts Overtale Rewrite & Owl and the Butterfly

Hi everyone. You've probably noticed by now that this story hasn't been updated for quite some time. That's because I'm basically revamping the Sky Trek universe (now temporarily called Entanglement) from the ground up. While I still really want to tackle a massive crossover universe based in an alternate 1930s dieselpunk world, I've had a lot of issues with how I handled the stories in the first

Starshot and Sky Trek Rewrite Stuff · 10:53pm Dec 2nd, 2020

What's this weird not-Earth thing you've posted here? Read on and find out.

First of, Starshot. Writing is coming along nicely, though I'm writing ahead further than usual to keep story structure as solid as possible. I'm juggling about three plots at once, and when you do that kind of thing things can go wrong very quickly, especially if you can't go back and change things because it's already posted. One thing I can say for certain is that I think Spike fans are going to like what's coming up. Whenever Spike was written to be the down-to-Earth competent straightman that we saw in the original MLP pilot, he was the fucking best.

Now for Sky Trek, whose overall universe I am tentatively calling Entanglement. For those who don't know, this is a series that takes place on an alternative Earth (more like super-Earth given its size) where most civilizations are juuuust reaching the late Industrial Age to the early Atomic Age. Meaning late World War 1 to Interwar to World War 2-era technologies. Because I am not right in the head, I've decided that many, many different characters from various fictional works inhabit it, from MLP to Undertale, with their respective civilizations also being transferred over either in full or partially. This includes the various magics that inhabit them.

This has had mixed results in the past. But I feel I may be closer to being able to keep it from being a confusing cluster...screw this time around. To me this means starting small and gradually getting larger and larger, with characters discovering things about the world as the reader does. Things are going back in time a little bit to help with this, too, from right after the Great War that took place on the largest continent of this alternative world (analogous to our World War 1, just with even more magic and devastation).

In fact, the very first story I have planned with feature the Monsters from Undertale as our POV characters, juuuust as they come to the surface. Though unfortunately, the humans (and other creatures) they meet won't know much about the world at first, either, thanks to The Great War knocking out a lot of infrastructure required for long distance communication. To give you an idea about what I mean, the map above is pretty much all those around Mt. Ebbot know about the world.

"That's nice and all, but where are mah ponies?"

Oh, the eagles ponies are comin'. They're comin'. Just not at first. They need to be 'discovered' first... or have them discover the human continent.

"But I thought ponies in Sky Trek weren't ponies but weird elf and winged human things?"

As much as I liked that concept, it was somewhat confusing and unnecessary. It also took away a bit of their uniqueness and potential stories that could be based around them. Yes, this means Hogwarts Overtale will be getting a lot of changes. Everyone, including Sunset, is gonna be going back to being ponies now.

"But if the first few stories of this universe don't have ponies, how can I read them?"

Just keep an eye on mah blog. I'll post links to any stories that can't be featured on this site.

That's all I can think of. Stay tuned for most stuff in a bit!

Sounds fantastic! As much as I loved diving into the deep end of the kitchen sink, a gradual pull-back does seem like a better way of introducing that world. Looking forward to it.

Yeah. I can definitely respect how you can get those sorts of ideas in your heads. And, yeah, I can see your points. After all, this is a world where all sorts of magical beings and super-powered extra-terrestrials are known to exist. Sapient equines with magic powers would NOT be THAT weird. Of course, for THAT matter, neither would any of Equestria's OTHER sapient species, but that's for later.

Don't know why this popped up in my feed but this does sound interesting so I'll give a follow to see where this goes.
