What to Expect · 6:00pm Dec 1st, 2020
Hello again! Today, I'm posting mainly to set up some expectations concerning my blogging on FimFiction.
Firstly, I will not have a consistent schedule. I am a naturally procrastinating person, so I want to make it absolutely clear that I have no plans for a blogging schedule, and if I did, they would fall apart immediately. I will try to post something at least once a month, possibly more often, but be aware that unless I have a topic I actually feel like discussing, I will not try to come up with sub-par filler.
Secondly, while I appreciate that some people feel comfortable sharing stuff about their lives on the Internet, I do not, so anything I discuss will most likely be directly related to FiM, or possibly other aspects of pop culture. Feel free to ask me questions about myself, but they will be politely redirected to a new topic.
Thirdly, I do enjoy discussion of fandom, fan theories, and the respectful exchange of differing opinions. Therefore, every post will have some question at the end that I will encourage my readers (all two of them) to comment on. I fully understand if anyone doesn't want to participate, but if you feel so inclined, have at it. HOWEVER, I do not appreciate flame wars, insults, name-calling, brawling, bar fights, food fights, cat fights, bull fights, or any general unpleasantry. If you engage in such behavior, I will ask politely that you cease and desist. If you do so, good! However, anyone who fails to respect these rules after a warning will have any offending comments deleted. I hope that you all will find this a fair policy, and if not, polite criticism is welcome, and will be given due consideration. I want this to be a fun place for everybody.
Now that all that's out of the way, it's question time! What non-pony species do you find most intriguing, why, and what do you wish we could have learned about them? My favorites would have to be the changelings. Unlike some people, I like them equally well before and after their Reformation, but I do have reasons why I like them as a whole. Cool powers (well, mostly shape-shifting, so cool power), an intriguing culture that contrasts Equestrian society, being a menacing force before Reformation and lovable goofballs after, and providing us with one of the show's greatest villains, namely, Chrysalis. As for what I wish we knew about them that we don't know now . . . EVERYTHING! Honestly, I could probably be persuaded to watch a spin-off show focused entirely on the Reformed changelings, especially Ocellus. She's best bug!
Anyways, feel free to add your own thoughts, and I'll see you all next time!
