In terms of inspiration, I was heavily influenced by Sharp Spark's superb recent efforts at original fiction. So, regardless of whether or not you know squat about card games, I'd highly encourage you to read Trolls and Tribulations.

After a beat, more concrete worries bubbling up, she added “That, or they were infected by one of the sixteen known species of brain parasite native to that biome. Or the Dimir had them replaced.”

Othi may defy many of the Combine stereotypes, but TMI is universal.

Brilliant work, especially how Othi isn't the only one breaking out of the usual guild mold. Thank you for it.
