I am completely shocked over what I'm seeing. Nothing like this has ever happened to me in all my years on Fimfiction.
After the success of my last story "Swimming By Moonlight", I was feeling confident and proud, so much that I felt like writing another story. When I posted "Pinkie's Potty Problem" this morning, I was feeling excited when I got a comment praising it, along with having gotten four upvotes.
Imagine my dismay when I later came back to find that it had gained more negative votes than upvotes. I was a little shook up, but I figured that these kind of things happened and the number of upvotes would soon overtake it again. Instead its the downvotes that have been going up while the upvotes have been remaining stationary!
This is outrageous! None of my stories have ever been more red to green! The worst part is, I'd only see it making sense if the thing was terribly written. But I worked hard on that story! I spent three weeks writing it, coming up with how it went. I was quite pleased with the gags and references I threw in, expecting people to chuckle over them. I actually managed to complete it Tuesday, but decided to wait until today in order to get the same successful result as my last story, spending the last few days polishing off a few scenes until I felt it was perfect while anticipating the positive reactions it would get. I was proud of that story, so to get this kind of reaction is enraging/off-putting to me.
I figure that the main reason for this general treatment is because of the ending gag. Well, tough, I'm quite fond of that joke, having wanting to use it for some time. What really rattles me is the fact that you all are taking offense to something so tame when you've probably read/seen things more disgusting!
Well, if that's the way you feel about it, fine! I'll give you to the end of the day, and if the story doesn't gain more upvotes by then, then I'm revoking the submission. I'm not going to let me story be read and criticized by people who won't appreciate it.

Screw the world, you have bigger and better things to do! You're moving on up! You are an amazing person (I hope), and the rest of the world can go screw themselves if they don't care for you; They'll be missing out on a pretty cool person.
But, then again, a lot of people probably liked the story, but left a dislike for awakening their immature side (I haven't read the story yet, I have it in my read later, so that might be a little loose.).
What I find funny is the only comment from a reader is praising the story.
I would keep it. I’ve had way more downvotes on one of my stories than that.... the comments are what matters more and it’s not like you’ve had a ton of people leaving rude comments or otherwise telling you that it was bad. So I assume you offended 17 people while a couple enjoyed it. I would keep it live even if only for those who got a giggle.

Well, that's nice of you. I may take your advice. While I'm not sure how you'll feel about the payoff gag, I think there's one particular scene you'll like.
