Weekly (Update) Update, 11/10 · 5:07pm Nov 10th, 2020
No, the parenthetical joke isn't me being an idiot. Allow me to ramble for a moment, provide some happy numbers, then ramble some more.
Last week I finally decided on the overall plot for To Dream is Divine, and knocked out a whole entire chapter. Actual, tangible, readable progress, people. I've sent it over to the editors and everything. I won't be putting it up for awhile, and it's entirely possible that it gets rewritten because it might be bad. But that first chapter is the most important. Now I can actually get going.
See, when I write, I see it in my head, kind of like a movie. I've got some control of what happens, obviously, but I have to be able to see it to write it. For a long time I couldn't see the entirety of a chapter, just bits and pieces. With the first one out of the way, it's a lot easier to coax my brain into giving me entire scenes, or even bridging the gap between them if I need to. The wait for actual news is over.
Starting next week, every one of these updates is going to start with numerical updates, exactly like what I'm going to type down below. It will then be followed by rambling, just in case you wanted to get some of that too. In a couple of weeks, once I've got a couple of chapters down, I'll talk about how / when I'm going to post this thing. For now, have some numbers
New Words: 1,855 (2,164 total)
Chapter Completed: 1
Chapter Worked On: 2
Other Notes: none
I'll put variation of that every week at the top of the blog post, and here is where I would ramble if I hadn't already done it. Ramble done, off to go write more, and watch buddied play the new Assassin's Creed. Hope you all have a fantastic week!
