Really important update + I am alive lol · 2:58am Oct 21st, 2020
Sooooooo, I never made the update last month...homework and midterms came suddenly, swiftly and stressfully. Buuuut that's finally over and done with and I came back to my on hold commissions, slowly but I'm working on them at least! Thank you all again for your patience if those in question are reading! Your support means so much to me.
I'll probably make an update for October to go into more detail on my situation for everyone but I wanted to let you guys in on a very important and life changing news that I received today. So if you've read/watch my previous updates, I had two jobs, a fast food job and a school district job. Well I finally got offered a full time position at my school meaning I can finally leave my stressful fast food job and move forward with my life.
What does that mean for commissions and tee spring merch?
It's also good news! It actually means I have more time for commissions/art and even college. If any of remember I was going to make a google sheet detailing my schedule, well basically it kind of went like this
Mon-Wed: Only school job 9-12 then commissions and college stuff
Thurs-Friday: School Job 9-12, nap for a couple of hours, leave for my closing shift at fast food and get home sometimes 1 AM
Sat- college and commission until I leave for fast food @ 5PM
Sun - Off from both jobs, focusing on college, maybe commissions if I don't have too much college work, and maybe passing out for the rest of the day
So now I will have a full weekend to work on college and commissions along with two extra evenings now that I don't have to work the fast food job in a couple weeks (going to turn in my notice tomorrow). It'll be so much easier to balance out everything as well as giving myself so much more breathing room with bills and my sanity lol. I was going crazy and rabid at that job, sure I got paid well compared to most fast food jobs and I was grateful to keep my job over this dumb pandemic, but I'm so overwhelmingly excited to leave the customer service industry.
Thanks for reading and look out for the update, though don't be surprised if I forget to make it. Uploads for speedpaints should start up soon, I just have to edit the footage.
Let me be the first to say congratulations!
Congratulations and good luck! Less stress is always better!
