    Elfy Update, 6/29

As of this morning I am officially on the wrong side of twenty. I'd say it feels weird, but I don't really feel any different. Age is a weird thing, isn't it?

I know it isn't my normal update day, but I realized I hadn't said anything in awhile. I'm also sure you guys are about as sick of hearing my excuses for slow writing as I am of writing them, but here we are. Last time was RE8, this time it's a combination of Mass Effect and DnD.

Man, I've gotten really bad at keeping you guys updated, and getting a chapter done a week. It's gotten to difficult to focus with all my other projects floating around.

In my defense, neither quick nor Qrow have been editing, so I'm not the only slacker here. Not that it makes this better...

Weekly (Actual) Update 9/22 · 4:03pm Sep 22nd, 2020

So, I know the handful of you reading this every week know that my progress has been... slower than I would have liked. There's been some stuff going on in life, which kind of makes it hard to sit down and focus on a thing. Plus getting something started is always super difficult for me. I have to figure out how the story starts, where it ends-ish, and what has to happen in the middle to make those two mesh out fine. In the case of Filly Friends, I had a theme, an idea, and all that I had to do was meld the two together in a reasonable way. It was rough, and required about four different outline iterations, but it all came together.

To Dream is Divine is much tougher to start for me. I've got this rough idea of what I want to do, but no start point or end point, and not much going on in the middle. Or, should I said, I didn't have any of those. This last week has seen me basically map out what'll probably be the first chapter!

That's, uh, that's it though. Quick and I haven't had one of our outline pow-wows recently, and the last time we did it was still pretty up in the air. A lot of it was pretty high-level stuff, like the perspective, major characters, etc. We're also toying around with maybe ascending the Twilight, but it's still just a thought in the back of my head.

This writing shit is hard.
