Here's an idea I just!
So the reason I'm sharing this idea in the first place is because I have a feeling I won't be able to do it myself because I already have a bunch of projects I want to do. Of course, if you want me to do this idea or you want to try it yourself, tell me by commenting down below! This idea though requires an extensive amount of research, so perhaps you'd want me to do it myself unless you dare to try it yourself.
I haven't really gotten to answer the who, what, when, where, why and how because I don't expected to do this story myself, but here are the highlights.
So here are the cast of characters that will be introduced into this story.
Dream: Famous Minecraft Player, Speedrunner, Host of the SMP Server, Beat Technoblade in terms of points in various Minecraft Championships (though lost in a PvP battle against him), won the Minecraft Championships, won the Golden Cup for Minecraft Manhunt 3 Hunters Series. He is arguably the best Minecraft Player, the 'Mastermind of Minecraft' both in PvP skills and in Manhunt, as well as reviving the Minecraft Hype after 2019.
George: Friend to Dream. He's one of the hunters in Minecraft Manhunt. He and Dream had done various challenges together, and George had been with Dream for a long time. During Speedrunner vs Hunter (1) series, he and Dream would usually taunt each other by calling each other by their names.
Sapnap: Friend to Dream. He's another hunter in Minecraft Manhunt. He usually is the one chasing Dream and is sometimes more aggressive than the rest to defeat Dream, like how he tried to blow Dream up with a bed or stole the dropped items of his friends in Manhunt Four Hunters. However, by following Dream very often Sapnap is usually the killed the most with George also falling to Dream the most as well
BadBoyHalo: A friend to Skeppy, who joined as the third hunter in Speedrunner vs Three Hunters. Apart from Dream himself he's the master at plan making and traps, enough where Dream is close to dying or gets killed by those plans. BadBoyHalo killed Dream using a Lava-Trap and placed Dream in a tight spot by trapping the spawn in the end. He's one of the most luckiest as he punched Dream to death once. He's the one who organizes the Hunters Team.
Antfrost: The fourth hunter of the series, who recently arrived at the scene during Minecraft Manhunt Speedrunner vs Four Hunters. He's the most recent hunter and thus has little experience while facing Dream, but he does show promise of becoming a core piece of the group.
There are other characters that might be mentioned or included in this story if it branches into different ways.
Wilbur Soot: The president of L'manberg. He's the president of the nation when they declared independence from Dream's SMP War. He's a mentor and leader of the rest of L'manberg. He was about to negotiate the terms of surrender to Dream after a large section of the nation was blown up by TNT when Tommy challenged Dream
TommyInit: He is the right hand man to Wilbur Soot. When Wilbur decided to negotiate their surrender, it was Tommy who challenged Dream to a bow duel at half a heart. He lost to Dream though and thus made the ultimate sacrifice to give Dream the Discs which had caused a smaller war before in order to keep the nation independent. in The War to End All Wars, tensions between the SMP and L'manberg had increased again. From Tommy accidentally killing Dream with a Minecart to then steal all of his armor as a negotiating peace for the discs, to ultimately tricking Dream and gaining the leather of 'Spirit' while still keeping one of the discs, the war has become more of one of trickery.
Tubbo: The right hand man to Tommy. He was killed various times by Sapnap and had 9 stacks of emeralds stolen from him to prevent him from buying enchantments. He participated with Tommy and the rest of L'manberg in all of their wars.
ItsFundy: Fundy is Wilbur's son and the first citizen born in L'manberg. He joined the SMP War and all other wars.
Eret: The traitor. He placed Tnt under L'Manberg, causing a massive explosion which destroyed L'Manberg, as well as betraying all of the nation and resulting in the deaths of all the citizens and the lost of their best items. He was later crowned King as part of the agreement with Dream.
Skeppy: Newcomer to the SMP server, he has one of Tommy's discs and is a new comer in this. He is unwilling to negotiate with Tommy after how he was treated in the beginning.
Technoblade: Rival to Dream. He and Dream had competed with each other, especially in the MC Champtionships in terms of points and rank. He won against Dream in a PvP duel and is still the rival against Dream as the Best Overall Minecraft Player and Youtuber with both of them trying to steal popularity from each other.
There are obviously other characters and other events, but the idea here is that we're going to be using various famous Minecraft Players of 2020 in a mlp story.
For no particular reason except that there are like zero Dream-Related MLP Stories in Fimfiction, just like there were zero UnOrdinary stories in Fimfiction.
The story would probably begin with Dream going through Reddit, trying to find new tricks like how he found the boat on lava trick on Reddit. He finds a message from a user who claims that he has found a way to spice the Manhunt even more, and there was a link to download something. Dream of course, even after checking that it had nothing malicious within it, believes that the Manhunt Series would be fine without it, but since every so often he and George try a variant or minigame between each other like BlockShuffle or Beating Minecraft with one chunk, Dream downloads it but never opens it for the moment. He forgets about it until some time later as he looks through his downloads. Forgetting where and why he downloaded it in the first place, he assumed it was some type of mod for a minigame that he and George could compete in. Dream decides to playtest this to see if it's a good idea or not but the moment he presses it, he finds himself in a new world. Of course, the moment that he hits a tree and it falls over and releases wooden logs and sticks, he assumes that he's in some sort of Minecraft Virtual Reality game as he begins to see his health bar, hunger bar, and other items. In Minecraft usually players would be more blockish, but in this world his body is more realistic, with of course a more artist like style implemented. He has his famous Dream Mask and is wearing a green hoodie, blue jeans, and shoes. He doesn't really think of it much until his friends immediately appears shortly after in this world, that would be George, Sapnap, Ant, and Bad. They all look just like how artists and animators portray them, instead of being their more blocky Minecraft forms. They tell him that he sent them a link that got them here but he said he didn't send them anything. All of them simply shrug though Bad, Sapnap and Ant all feel slightly panicked. When Dream shows how they could still knock down trees like in Minecraft, they get more relaxed for the while, though they realize that they can't record and stuff. Dream says that perhaps they're using some haptic items and thus they don't know where the record button is, but he says that they shouldn't worry about it for the moment and that they should play test this 'game'. Sapnap gets the idea of doing another Manhunt here and they agree, seeing this as just another fun competition. They begin to chase Dream through the location they were in as the Manhunt begins. They see a village, however it's one they don't really recognize from Minecraft, but then George, thinking like Dream, offers that this is probably just a Villager Village that was further updated and remade in this world and the rest of the Hunters get calmed. Like always they begin to raid the village to find some stuff to kill Dream with, but Dream, being lucky, finds a castle where he finds various powerful items and armor. He doesn't see a baby purple dragon looking at him in shock as he rushes out, now wearing his armor. The rest of the hunters weren't lucky to find good items, and with the baby dragon still looking at the mask-covered face, the dragon witnesses Dream completely destroying and killing the hunters who stood no chance against Dream who just scream as they get hunted down themselves. The baby dragon, not realizing that these guys could just respawn, begins to write in a letter of about a murder he just saw as he blows it away in a fire.
(this world is a more anthro world, so items like armor are designed for bipedal instead of quadruples.)
The main reason most of Ponyville is gone is because they left to visit Twilight. Spike, the witness to the murders, was ordered by Twilight to stay and guard the Castle of Harmony. During a meeting with her friends, she suddenly receives a letter, and with a serious face, Twilight sends a copy to Celestia and Luna as she brings her friends back to Ponyville. Soon the event of the murder of 4 individuals by a single masked-face entity begins to spread across Equestria. The charges are Breaking in, Stealing, And Murder, along with other things. Dream though doesn't realize the problems he is in, and neither do Sapnap, George, Bad, or Ant.
Now Dream is being hunted down by all of Equestria, as they begin to realize that they're not in merely any game. They do not know what would happen if they get killed by something other than themselves, but they are not keen to find it out, and the worse thing is that by every second it appears that there is no way back home except the logical progression: Beating the Ender Dragon. But does the dragon even exist in this game? Does it mean that Dream will be wanted no matter where he is? How will he be able to escape this predicament if the Hunters don't even know the threat he's in? He can't simply go up to them and tell him his situation without risk getting killed. Will Dream be able to survive this Manhunt, or will his career be over?
Yeah I know I know it doesn't really sound as much and it probably sounded better in my head, but this is the main idea. There's also the idea that the war between the SMP Server and L'manberg occurs in Equestria with everyone starting again in equal footing or something like that. This is Manhunt in Equestria idea, and I hope you find this interesting. This might not become a story for a while but if you want to try it for yourself or want to see me try it, tell me. I'd be happy to attempt

It depends. Skeppy really isn't a hunter and is more of a guy who creates challenges for others using Creative mode and the guy who does 1,000 Prizes. He isn't really part of the crew. As for those from L'Manberg, they're not really necessary for the story since the SMP Wars and The Minecraft Manhunts are two different series run by different groups of people. And Technoblade is part of Dream's background.

There's various ideas I had from Manhunts to Dragon City Dream to L'Manberg events. I'll probably do the Manhunt story first if I have time. Right now doing a Hunger Games OC story with a co writer.
