-> trying to end American imperialism". From Baffler. (Colette Shade)

Yeah, I tend to agree with this line of thinking. Go to the source/root of the problem. Otherwise it will be battle with no end ....

And while I'm on it ...may be whole "intellectualism" movement was and still is failing so hard partially because it was wrongly assuming humans can run on pure reason alone 100% of time. So, when it comes to 'scientists/philosophers vs all" it even worse than 1% vs 99%/ Same problem with 'intellectual capital" available for tiny minority and not others. But what exactly can be done about it? May be scientology is not completely wrong in sense scientists/philosophers also should try to engage in daily life of 'proletariat', even outside of their , um, reproductive crusade (I mean reproduction of institution/tradition of Science and Philosophy. Oh, yeah, this ... Is current reproduction of philosophy really (re)produces up-to-date thinking ability, suitable for navigating today's life? Or it all degraded long ago into its own dogma? What exactly is reproduced and encouraged, for real? Thinking? Or picking 'right' answers from pre-made list?).

This is weird. Science/intellectualism today often boosted as 'completely against religious dogmatics' yet it apparently inherited those obedience classes and methods of teaching, yet dropped any widespread 'work for social problems of population' still showing up (even if as semi-working artefact of religious dominance) in religious 'services' ... No wonder people look with some distrust and don't eagery switch to supposedly 'superior' viewpoint :( Because way too often this superiority loaded with hierarchical subplot, like shitting on anyone who assumed to be 'on level below'. "I tried atheism but it had too little holidays" joke might be very telling symptom of problem.

I tend to read a lot (this is my favourite time-spending activity, it seems), so I'm also part of this problem. But I am in general not very much (human) social ... I dislike parties and other (too active?) "activities" ...
