Howdy howdy~
Short message for those in a hurry: I just wanted to pop in real quick and let everyone know that this thot yet breathes.
Longer message for those with the time: I've somewhat settled into my first home by this point, though some financial woes have unfortunately prevented me from finishing my dream writing office. It's still going to be a bit before I can truly call it done, sadly, but I don't think that's going to stop me from returning to writing altogether; we are starting to head into the fall part of the year where I historically do most of said writing. I can start to feel my creative fire reigniting once again even as I type this; even as the darkness of the night starts to stretch, and as the chill of the season starts to settle. I know it's only a matter of time before my thoughts begin to wander back to Barbara and Cogwill once again, and my recent dive into the MLP Comic scene has only served to rekindle my love of this wonderfully imaginative world.
Thusly I will yet again apologize for my absence, and thusly will I again thank you all for your patience. I know I have done so countless times before, and that I will do so countless more times henceforth, but I truly do mean the words every time I type them. I have gained countless readers over the years, and have lost countless more as I consistently struggled to keep up my pace and my promises... but I am forever grateful for both those who've stuck around with me and those who have given me their time no matter how brief it was.
Here's hoping I get to see you all again real soon!

It EVENTUALLY was going to be about her and him, but I was still very green when I wrote it almost a decade ago. It primarily stared a very cruel version of Flim and Flam, but in reality it was more of a vehicle for fleshing out my take of a pre-season three Equestria. It featured corrupted seaponies and gods, but eventually they took over the story and that was around the time I lost interest in it.
Someday I hope to reboot it from scratch and focus more on what made the first half so appealing... but The Poisoned Barb is sort of all I want to focus on currently until I feel ready enough to tackle said reboot

Actually it was more of the (spoilers I guess for a ten year old story) afterlife and Starswirl stuff. I actually do prefer my take on the seaponies lore verses what the actual show eventually came up with, I just feel like I could have introduced them AND the other stuff a bit more naturally were I to take a stab at it now with more experience under my belt.
I mean, we went from "Human has a bad time in Equestria" to "Human may be a pawn in a giant cosmic conspiracy" way too flipping quickly imo lol

To be fair the Seaponies in cannon weren't technically Seaponies, they were Hippogriffs using a pollymorph maguffin to hide from the big bad. So the lore doesn't really contradict.
