Hey there. It's me. Midnight Blitzer. And well I've been offline for quite a while, and I was wondering how I would edit my story called Loving the Enemy.
If you know amf studios and his story 'Viva La Lunar' or the famous Lunar Republic related story : "A Thousand Year Change" then you know what I'm talking about in terms of basic stories.
Basically The New Lunar Republic and The Solar Empire headbutts each other as they fight a war.
Now originally I wanted it to be a ship between my OC and Aj ( it literally said it in the description) and was even thinking of expanding it into a herd type of story (since... well... some group of ponies are going to have to start repopulating the world and recovering the losses) but then I began to ponder on what my story is based on and the meaning of my title.
Loving the Enemy.
Now I wanted this to be a romance story between an enemy soldier (my OC) and a mare who lost her family (literally again in the description; AJ) but... I felt that I wanted to change that premise. Just like how My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic showed about the power of friendship and friendship lessons, I wanted to make my story act as if it was the show, but for teens and adults. Of course it isn't a show, it's just a story I just am doing, but I wanted to take the spirit of FiM and add it to my story. After all, isn't Love just the more mature version of Friendship?
So here's what I'm going to do. First of all I'm deleting the shipping, because honestly I won't know where my character would be emotionally within Season 2 of this story. Second, I'm removing the (T Rated) tag that's part of the title cause I honestly am still wondering if I should split it into T Version and M Version like how some stories do it or use everything I got.
I've come up with a lot of possibilities, not major ones, those are already locked in, but for more minor ones like who lives, who dies, who comes back, who are the villains, what type of references I'm going to use from other series, are other ocs allowed etc. Like I want to take every single opportunity I have to make it both similar to A Thousand Year Change (so that I don't get off track) but unique in it's own way. In fact, it's kind of like the revived story of Viva La Lunar from amf studios, who's my friend. Of course I'm changing a lot of things like when the war starts, when does the story starts, the political landscape etc. Like just because it's a republic doesn't mean there has been any attempts to change the government, whether peacefully or violently. (Hence why I'm going to exploit the term 'The New Lunar Republic')
as for ships, well that's up in the air. and as for my oc who's still going to be part of the story? If you truly followed me you would remember I once tried to do a OC story but due to lack of support and simply because the power mechanics were absurd, and since I still needed to learn how to not constantly reference other places heavily to keep up my story (like DBZ or Sonic) I had to change things.
my OC has went through a lot of modifications and a lot of downgrades, but I think I have learned a lot after reading and revising my stories (only to destroy those drafts again)
so should I make another remake? Should I just update my stories by adding my chapters in between (because I'm also going to exploit it in my story in some way that I shall not tell). and if you want to add your OC to my story please talk to me. I'm sure some creature would just love to see more human-made OCs joining the fun or some reference to another thing (like another story, another OC, media, anime, game, etc)
And as for Equestria UnOrdinary the reason I haven't updated it yet is because of Webtoon because there's always new info being added which affects how I view John.
Anyways peace out. I sometimes draw so I might eventually change the covers and my profile pic, and I found out that Unstable Unicorns (a game I played a long time ago with my friends because we were bored) got a 2019 award I think and it was one of the reasons I was inclined to study the lore of mlp. (also because I saw a lot of potential of Sonic and MLP Crossovers at the time... even though I rarely talk about SEGA)
I might eventually begin to post some... radical views on the story of mlp FiM in terms of the political landscape, as well as my theories and timelines that could''ve happened.

I think you scrap the story and start anew, not saying I didn't like the story Loving the Enemy, but if you feel like you need to rethink some things then go-ahead. Also I do agree with you on the point of the shipping between your OC and Aj.

like if I'm going to still use that premise of shipping my OC with some of the original cast then I will only do it as a way to give more strength to the story and not because I want to do it for fun. There must be a purpose, but as for now I don't want to risk making a purpose only to realize it doesn't fit the grand scheme of the story. who knows? Maybe it turns out to be a triangle love or maybe a one-sided love. I don't know where the characters would be by the beginning of season 2 let alone by the end of the story. Love takes time to grow. Friendship is naturally easy to acquire, love for your friends takes time and bonding, and true love takes years to mature.
I will probably just let the characters interact naturally, and if I find it that there's a valid reason for both me and the story for a ship to occur, it will. But as for now I'm just making sure the story as a whole will make sense.
