Weekly facts! (Sorry about last week's - I was busy.)

1. Erosion at the base of Niagara Falls has caused the falls to recede approximately seven miles over the past 10,000 years.

3. Every time you lick a stamp, you're consuming 1/10 of a calorie.

4. The chicken is one of the few things that man eats before it's born and after it's dead.

5. If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle. If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle. If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

6. The Titanic had not enough lifeboats, but plenty of time for evacuation in the two hours it took to sink; the Lusitania had plenty of lifeboats, but sank in 18 minutes, so there was not enough time to deploy all the lifeboats. Both ships were of the Liverpool port registry. Coincidence?

7. Toto was paid $125 per week while filming The Wizard of Oz.

8. 23% of all photocopier faults world-wide are caused by people sitting on them and photocopying their butts.

9. There are only four words in the English language which end in "-dous": tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous.

10. A palindrome is a group of words or sentences that reads the same forward and reverse.

A man, a plan, a canal - Panama.

Hope you enjoyed this week's facts!
