Interview with Crackling Moron
Snow Heart by Nailah

Snow Heart[

It was a calm and soothing day in Equestria, Snow Heart had decided she needed to get away from all the stress and hassle that came with being a Princess. So often she felt unworthy of the title. Why her? She had decided to take a trip out to the beautiful mountain peaks. The view was rather stunning, and as she sat there just admiring the serene nature of it, she was certainly glad this place was known for being peaceful.
"No ponies starring at me, or asking me a million and one questions about my bat wings. This is nice." she spoke out loud, unaware she wasn't alone.

Crackle

There was a dog also admiring the view. Quite where it had come from and how it got here at all was unclear, but there it was.
"It is nice."

Snow Heart

Snow Heart starred at him, raising a brow, and crossing her front forelegs across her chest. "Uh huh. Well maybe I didn't want to be bothered?" she pointed out, but she quickly realized that might be rude. Maybe he was just naive. Or dumb. Or both. She didn't admittedly know a lot about other races. Took her forever to stop craving apples.* "So....I'll ask again, who are you?"

Crackle

"Well I'm a dog, plainly, but I don't think you meant that. Here at least I like to write things from time to time. Rejoice in a silly name. Cackling something. Cackling idiot? Sounds about right."

Snow Heart

Snow Heart continued to glare at him. When he finally introduced himself, she nodded. "I'm Snow Heart, and I'm a bat, though you probably already figured that much out. What brings you out here? I don't think you'd have much to hide from." she thought of all her many fans, and worshippers, and wished she had her hoodie so she could hide within it, she didn't like all the attention. She would never get used to it. Truly.

Crackle

"I came for the view! And to think. And walk. Fan of walks, me."

Rather goes with the territory of a dog, presumably. The thing stares at the mountains some more and then adds:

"You're here for the view too, then, or for distance from everything else?"

Snow Heart

"Both actually. The view is rather pleasant, that much is certain. But well..." she stares at her own wings. Remembering a time when she was just a unicorn. Not some bat alicorn that no one had heard of in who knows how many moons. It was said she was special, but what she? What had she done to deserve this? She sighed out loud.* "And I wanted to get away from the stress of being me. Ya'know?" she looked to him, daring to approach closer, and reached out a forehoof to scratch his ear, curiously if he was just like a dog*

Crackle

The dog goes a touch stiff for a moment, but then relaxes.

"I was questioning going with a dog, but it's not all bad. I mean, ah, uncomfortable in your own skin, is it? That's no good! We should each of us be delighted with who we are. Though I'll admit sometimes it can feel like an effort."

Snow Heart

"Nothing wrong with dogs, though more of a cat pony I guess." she smiled softly, removing her hoof. "Well, it's just I'm shy and when the lights are on me I get nervous. It's one of the reasons I started these things to get the attention to other ponies I felt deserved more recognition. I really am not that special. Though my bf would likely bap me for saying that." she chuckled at herself. "But, we aren't here to talk about me, why not tell me more about you? What got you into mlp?" she asked, as she herself knew of his Fimfiction, but admittedly was not a follower. She just knew of him*

Crackle

"We're all of us special, tsch. But ah yes, ponies, lovely things."

The dog puts a paw to its chest, clear it's throat.

"Many years ago- well, let's maybe not go too deep into it. To be brief, I heard about the revived show, didn't do anything with it, later somehow read a very long story someone had written on here, was amazed such long, lovely stories could be magical-horse based, watched it, found it all quite lovely and then, bored, decided to do my own."

The paw lowers.

"Heh, 'knew of me' indeed..."

Snow Heart

"Yes, we all are special in our own ways. I'm just hoping the day doesn't come some pony asks me for an interview. I have stage fright." she admitted honestly. She wasn't going to go into more she hadn't really done anything to deserve being interviewed over, otherwise they'd be here all day. She listened to his story, and nodded*
"Hmm...I see. Much different to how I found the show. and ponies, but that isn't important now. You say you now write your own stories about ponies, would you like to talk about them?" she asked curiously. She unfolded her bat wings, and stretched out. She was tiring of sitting in place, even if the view was pleasant, even if real world her was always moving to and fro*

Crackle

"I suppose it would be the interviewy thing to do, wouldn't it? Be a bit awkward otherwise, especially as I'm the one who bothered you! Always odd to talk about what one does, I find."

The dog waves a leg, gesticulating.

"They're not complex, the stories. They're meant to be fluffy and unchallenging, a way for me to unwind, mostly. That others seem to like them is a definite plus! What keeps me doing it, rather. No-one cares about the other stuff, and the other stuff has less cuddles, no fun at all."

Stops waving the leg and settles in place again. This dog can sit with the best of them.

"And they all feature basically the same guy, because it's all barefaced self-indulgent nonsense. I hear humans are niche! I had no idea."

Snow Heart

"Rainbow Dash. I got into this craziness because of her." she snuggled her Rainbow Dash plushie that just seemed to appear out of thin air, and then vanished again. "If you must know, I used to hate the show, thought it was stupid. Yes, I was one of THOSE people. Forgive me." she sulked in place. "I just didn't realize how much potential the show had from the outside, but Rainbow Dash, I always thought she was cool, one day I was bored, sat down and well now I'm here and couldn't be more proud." she then listened to him.*

"Stories with no cuddles! *puts hoof to heart, other hoof to her forehead pretending to fall backwards. "That is THE worst. Stories with cuddles are best, espicially if they also have kissy faces too." she chuckled, blushing, and fidgeting, deep down she was a romantic at heart, if her stories haven't implied this already. "Humans are rather dull, I find it very hard to get into those kind of stories."

She looked towards him once more.
"Tell me Crackle, can I call you that? What advice would you give a new writer?"

Crackle

"Ooh! Rainbow Dash! My first one - first good one - had her! Ah, they're all so lovely. But yes advice?"

The dog strokes its chin.

"I'd hardly call myself a writer in the first place, more just someone, something, that has written. Likely everyone will have heard all the cliches before anyway - find your style, take feedback on board, focus on what you enjoy first and less about what you think others might want etcetera etcetera."

Back to waving a leg around.

"There's no advice, really. Other than just do it. What do you stand to lose? Write, and keep it to yourself. Write, and put it out there. Take a day off, see something interesting, stick it into something you feel like writing because why not. It's all meant to be fun, after all, isn't it? Otherwise why even bother?"

The dog wagged - wagged!

"Ooh! I sounded very deep there! Like I had a clue. Just write, really. Want to see something happen? Write it! More writing can only be a good thing."

Snow Heart

scribbles notes in her noneexistent notepad "Hmm....very deep, but very true. Often that is the hardest part simply writing. You would not believe how many hours I've spent just starring at a blank document. Just starring at it. How a blank page can be so intimiating I know!" she chuckled letting out a delighted scree.*

"Oh sorry, for a second I forgot you were a dog. I didn't hurt your ears did I?" she asked looking at him cautiously. If he was okay, she'd ask her next question*

Crackle

"Deaf as a post, me, and being a dog is more a matter of perception anyway - scree away! Always rather liked bats."

Snow Heart

She chuckled softly "Be careful what you wish for I can be rather vocal when I am excited." She considered her next question with caution. Tread carefully. Be cautious of snakes
"So tell me Crackle, is there anything you'd like to say about the person behind the pony? You know the boring "human" part." she chuckled.

Crackle

"One time I drank three litres of beer, sat on a coach for two hours, stumbled off and pissed and vomited in a ditch at the same time while someone in the background yelled 'whoo!'. I mean, one time he did that, not me. I didn't do that. I'm a dog. Apparently."

Snow Heart

"Dogs shouldn't drink." *she scolded him, giving him a bap on the head. "BAD puppy." *she then scratched at his ears again. "But you're a cute doggy, I shall forgive you for being stupid in the past." *She looked to the view, and then back to him again. "I'm having trouble remembering what I wanted to ask you. I guess that says how cute you are."

Crackle

"I am an extraordinarily handsome dog, it's true. I often lose track of what I'm thinking about any time I pass anything even remotely shiny and catch sight of myself."

A quick glance about for any mirrors or handy panes of glass, but no such luck.

"But that's dogs for you."

Snow Heart

uses her magic to produce him a mirror "there you go Darling." she spoke without even realizing she was talking like a certain white pony known around Equestria for her talents with making dresses. She didnt' make dresses, but she was certainly talented in other ways. "I guess the only thing left is to ask if you'd like to ask me anything, and if there's anything you'd like to say. After all it's fun to spin it back on me huh?" she gulped inside, wondering what he might ask, if he asked anything at all. The anticipation was killing her.

Crackle

"Magic! How magical! And who's this ravishing devil I see here? Ahem, yes, well, there's not really anything I can think of to ask, per se, but I do very much admire your attitude, what with these interviews and such - shows a willingness to engage with others I find quite difficult, myself! So well done you I say, and long may you continue. Maybe one day you'll interview yourself. Now that'd be something."

Snow Heart

"I am not a changeling, I can't simply clone myself to ask myself questions, silly dog." she shook her head "I admit I'm a Fluttershy by nature, but I've always wanted to be more like Rainbow Dash. To have that sort of confidence in myself. Granted I have come a long way from the shy thing I used to be. but I've still got a ways to go to being as awesome as she. But I do thank you for coming here. Even if I wasn't planning to talk to any pony today, it's always pleasant to be surprised. Thank you for allowing me to interview you, and keep being awesome." she pets his head.

Crackle

"Think nothing of it. Let's all be generally lovely, or at least do our best. And away I dog."

The dog dogged away, doggedly.
