So after I finished writing ch.13 of SSME I embarked upon an exciting journey of unceasing work for a while, banging out 700 words of the new and upcoming "Sexhaving Adventure of Mr. & Mrs. The Dragon" on the Sunday before proceeding to not write anything else for an entire week and change.
It's fine that this happened. It's actually awesome. During periods when I can't write much I'm still thinking about this stuff in my downtime and that means I slowly refine my ideas, in my brain, and that makes for a better end-product. I don't really believe in forcing myself to put out content when I'm running a bit dry (and I tend to when I'm working more often than not; I get home afterwards and I mostly wanna absorb rather than create), I mean so long as capitalist society requires one to expend one's time and energies for goods and services I gotta get paid y'know, takes priority over the scribing of pony words, for which I am not paid. We make the best of these things. As it stands I'm now 1650 words in with a pretty good start and I'll definitely at least double that over the weekend! (No, they haven't boned yet this chapter. But mark my words, they will π)
Also, a quick true fact: sure I posted the first few chapters of SSME on here at the tail-end of October 2019 but I actually started writing it the day before "Dragon Dropped" aired in the USA (having watched the Chinese airing the day after), which I believe was September 7th 2019? So the story's first anniversary is coming up soon. I will try for the fourteenth chapter of SSME before that date but, given that the Sexhaving has been delayed and the length individual chapters have been running lately, we will see about that!
By the way if anyone is wondering exactly how long SSME will run for, I figure we're a bit over 25% of the way through? Call it ~30% as a percentage I just pulled out of my ass. The first act ended with the tenth chapter and I devised it with four acts in mind so this is something I'm in for the long haul. I didn't call it "mega epic" as a joke even if it is an amusing name, it's extremely literal if nothing else. So yeah, three more years of Spike and Rarity getting all cute oh god what have I done to myself ffs never mind that, I'm having a ball writing this stuff, for real -- barring unforeseen circumstances I'll get there, I will not get bored and drop off the face of Fimfiction, this is my promise to all my lovely readers, I know you are out there, you're just mostly invisible and silent
