Not sure how many people are actually following this, but I thought I'd throw this blog post up just in case.
So Chapter 1 of my story is taking quite a bit of time to write, mostly because of my university life getting prioritized above my writing. Nevertheless, the writing is getting done, just very slowly. It's turning out to be a lot longer than I was expecting, probably largely because I add lots of little details just to make the world more believable, even if those details aren't always necessary, but I'm getting close to done with the first chapter; I hope to have it up sometime this weekend.
Thinking about it, I'm not actually sure how reasonable of an assumption that is. You see, I write with a whole lot of scrutiny so a lot of my "writing sessions" turn into nothing more than me tweaking previous parts I've written to make them sound better. This is my first venture into writing fanfiction and I don't want to leave a bad first impression with this story, so I'm doing so pretty diligent editing to make sure it's as good as I can make it. I do, however, realize that people have limited attention spans and won't wait around forever for me to post the next update, so I'll try my darndest to expedite the process, promise!
In any case, I hope all of you Americans had a lovely Thanksgiving (I'm Canadian so I celebrated it last month), and have fun reading!
