Last year I was sharing my flat in Paris with a French girl who needed someone to pay half the rent. She was cool enough, we had good talks, especially in politics because she's thoroughly communist and I'm not, which actually led to a dispute one night lol. But in the end we left as good friends.
But that's not really the point. The point is what I just found out through one of her friend's facebook posts. That girl is a pegasister. Knows the show, the songs, watches them in English on Youtube like me and everything. And all of that, right under my nose for a year.
I'm hesitant as to message her or something to tell her I'm a brony. It'd be awesome to know a real-life brony/pegasister, especially one that is a person I know for ulterior reasons. Ooor, for some reason she just might think I'm a freak. I dunno, not everyone is as rational as you might believe, she could not tolerate me just saying I love ponies :P

528202 Oh you know, my story's your typical brony story. I found the show through word of its bizzarre fandom, so I thought I'd check out what all the fuss was about. This was in the summer of 2011, when season 1 had ended and season 2 was to start soon. I picked a random episode, and started watching the grand galloping gala part 1. I instantly felt so wrong in my head for watching it, and dropped the issue, left with the unwise prejudice that all bronies were queers.
and I knew I was hooked for life. To this day "lesson zero" is still my favorite episode.
A few months later, I was bored one day, so I decided to check out the brony page for something to poke fun at by my lonesome self (looking back, that was a completely moronic attitude I had). I discovered that the memes itself were not that bad, and that bronies could actually be pretty funny. I decided to watch another episode, and picked the latest one that had come out, "lesson zero". I'm just generally touchy about this sort of thing because I don't get much of anything in that field. I'm aware that a brony and a pegasister are potentially great grounds for a relationship, but whether I'm interested or not in this girl, it doesn't make a damn difference since she already has a boyfriend. That's all it takes for everything to crash,so there's no reason for me to get my hopes up anyhow, which is why I don't ever do that in the first place.
Besides, Rarity is her favorite pony and mine is Applejack. So no luck there either.
