White Lives Matter banner · 9:15pm Jun 23rd, 2020

I salute the pilot who flew this plane. Thank you for making a statement about true equality, whoever you are. Of course, the Leftist media is calling it racist, defaming its very existence, everyone is crawling out of the woodwork to make statements to reporters about how much they hate it and how ashamed they are. Dumbasses. If a banner saying Black Lives Matter is okay, then a banner with any color lives matter is okay. If one is racist, they are all racist. Equality does not lean to either side; it is either perfectly balanced, or it isn't equal.

Many people are also mentioning a racist attack that killed 3 white people in the comments of these videos, but I haven't heard many other reports. At the same time though, under-reported crime in this area is not surprising at all. There's the claim that the reason behind this is that it doesn't fit the mainstream media's agenda. That is also very unsurprising.

Good job, flier. My hat's off to you.

You are absolutely within your right to yell "White Lives Matter" at the top of your lungs.

And we are all completely within our right to call you out as the racist you are.

I love freedom of speech :twilightblush:

Tale pipe.

As long as you call out the ones saying "Black Lives Matter" as the racists that they are as well, then you're not a hypocrite. Otherwise, well hey, nobody's perfect. :raritywink:

Just as bad, just as good, just as. That's the idea. Some people have a hard time understanding it, though, and so stunts like these confuse and upset them.

Ya know this reminds me on how Morgan freeman doesn’t want a black history month. Don’t know if the subject is the same but I think he brings up good points in terms to this whole situation.

Oh, and a more focused topic on his views on race being apart of wealth distribution:

Isn’t that the same mentality as calling someone a nazi? Or a bigot?

I agree with you on the freedom of speech, but it kinda sucks when the majority that supports that same idea, will try to censor you if your ideas aren’t the same as theirs. And it’s not even the government that’s doing it from what I’m seeing.

I'm not for censorship, but are you really talking about censorship or just people deciding to not give someone a platform to speak nonsense?

Example: I think it would be pretty fucking gross for the government to prevent Ben Shapiro from saying what's on his mind. But if the student body and staff of a university doesn't want him on the campus, nothing about that is censorship.

If the student body and staff didn't want him on campus, he wouldn't have been invited in the first place. A small group did want him on the campus... a small, marginalized group. Hmm...

Censorship is defined as the suppression or prohibition of speech or media. It leaves out how. So yes, deplatforming is a form of censorship. I find most of those that defend the practice of deplatforming just don't want the person to say what they have to say. I also love freedom of speech and expression. I'm very grateful to this website for freely giving sufficient amounts of both.

Conservatives are not marginalized. Conservatives literally run the country.

How is not wanting Ben Shapiro on campus suppression? The university just decided they didn't want him to show up on campus. They are completely within their right to do so.

Free speech is awesome. Ben Shapiro is allowed to say whatever he wants. He doesn't get to demand that a university give him a microphone so he can preach to students.

So by that logic, black people used to run the country because Obama was president. Also, I don't remember voting for any conservatives. There isn't a conservative party, the Supreme Court is still pretty split, the Dems control the HoR, exactly HOW do conservatives run the country? They certainly don't run the mainstream media, which has plenty of power and influence on its own. Too much in this journalist's opinion. FURTHERMORE, Donald Trump isn't a conservative- he's more of an anomaly. A good experience to have now and then, though, because it shakes things up a bit.

As far as the students on the campus though, if memory serves, they've filed multiple complaints that they feel discriminated against for their political views and even their skin color. So yes, within this community, the only one which they are directly involved, they are indeed marginalized.

I saw those videos. Those idiots causing a riot would've prevented the man from breathing if they could. You're acting like they simply didn't want him standing on a soapbox and preaching at their university but no, they went far beyond that. They could've shown a lot more strength and endurance if they just let him say what they wanted. Instead, they decided to be children about it. I definitely qualify what they did as suppressing his ability to speak.

Not only that, it wasn't "the university"'s decision; a group of students invited him, another larger, more oppressive group of students demanded uniformity to their narrow-minded ideals and would not tolerate any opposition. Antifa are in fact behaving like fascists and they were the motivation behind not allowing Ben to speak. Like BLM, they are more of a problem than anything else.
