MLP: The Light of Harmonys Hope - Midnight Castle · 9:53pm Jun 19th, 2020

You remember that idea I had involving what would basically become Tambelon the second?
Well, things have changed a bit, seeing as how Grogar himself is not the main antagonist of this story. At least not in the Ansem, Seeker of Darkness sese I had intended. He's reserved as the combo of Davy Jones and Legendary Defender Zarkon. Lord Tirek is the one who takes center stage in my fanfic as you all know. And he's the one pulling all of the strings until all is in order. His Knights of Anarchy are assembled, his armies are finished being constructed, he has his Balrog Generals to lead them, his Titanous champion, Typhon (who is the Clash of the Titans Kraken from 2010, who could easily pass off as the monster Typhon if he could project a pair of wings from his back), and he has not only has he and the others harnessed The Bewitching Bell, Belial's Maw, to drain Discord, and empower themselves.
He has also remade The Black Crucible, which is the artifact from which The Rainbow of Darkness was formed.
With all the pieces in place, even after letting Emperor Grogar (the real Grogar) toy with Discord before deliberately setting him off to warn his pony friends, Tirek begins his plans of conquest by using an idea suggested by Chrysalis: Divide and Conquer. The Legion of Doom spreads out across Equestria, destroying everything in their path. Storm King dispatches the Pillars, and steals their magic via his Saccanis Crystal, which came with his upgrades. Chrysalis and her troupe go after Starlight and trash the school, King Sombra and a few others again attack the Crystal Empire - only this time to completely eradicate it. And Tirek himself goes to Canterlot, with Cozy Glow in tow along with Dismay, and Erebus to deal with Dusk Shine and his friends. It all culminates in an organized strike on the city, as the Legion reveals their actions, hints at Tirek's grand plan, and then combine their powers to wipe out Canterlot Castle. They then chase off Dusk in their efforts to kill him.
When that fails, Tirek and his Knights settle for their prisoners, and decide to take the biggest step of establishing their dominion: by conquering Ponyville itself. How do they do this, you may ask? Well, obviously, by invading it with their near-endless legions of Tiracians, along with their Satyr, Minotaur and Cyberdemon allies. While his allies have fun terrorizing the town, and harvesting ponies for the Argent Production Process which will give them fresh essence, more dark magic, and more supplies of Tiracian warriors, Tirek, Emperor Grogar, Minos, Dismay, and the balrog king, Grothmog, go to Twilight's Castle, which they see as the prime selection for the capital of the Empire of Midnight. The Castle itself just needed some..........remodeling. While the map, and portal to EG Earth is preserved for future usefulness, the magic users begin casting a powerful spell to transform The Castle of Friendship into the ultimate symbol of corruption, as The Rainbow of Darkness enforces the curse, in a unique fashion:
The original lair of Grogar used by Discord is ripped out of the ground, and reduced to a cloud of dust.
The remains of Canterlot Castle are extracted from their new resting place, and dragged into Ponyville.
And the remains of The Well of Souls are also drug out of its resting place to join these three ruins as they move to Ponyville.
Once they arrive, the three structures that were reduced to their most basic forms conglomerates around Friendship Castle, just as The Rainbow of Darkness is cast. The personification of The Black Crucible aka The Element of Anarchy, takes all four structures while being fueled by Tirek, Grogar, Dismay, and Grothmog's power. They begin meshing together, and fusing into a structure which makes the Crystal Palace seem miniscule in comparison. The elements of all four "castles" form into an atrocity which signals the return of an era of darkness not seen since the First Age of Equestria, when Tirac reigned as Supreme Lord of Darkness. Now it was Lord Tirek's time to reign in the new era as the seat of his expanding empire had been formed. And would forever loom over Ponyville like a nightmarish shadow to remind them that the days of Harmony, and Friendship are over. Now Anarchy, and Hatred will rule all from this malific fortress.
The Midnight Castle has been reborn.

Also yes. this is based on the Skeksis Castle from The Dark Crystal, but I drug up the design mostly by memory, and only designed it so it'd look like a malignant hybrid of the places I mentioned. Hopefully, I did a good job on that.

Yes, I do. Let's just say that Doom Eternal was a major inspiration of sorts. And I want at least one of my universes to have a Cyber Initiative similar to The Lin Kuei. Why not have it be the Minotaurs? Who are now in league with someone who hold advanced weapons and technology that could make them even more powerful warriors than the Equestrians? They are the mlp equivalent of the spartans, after all.....but one that gets corrupted by its corrupt ruler, Minos, due to his newfound obsession with power, and war. They just now have an ally willing to share his technology to give them all they desire.:)
