    I have a narrative-based story on the EQG version of King Sombra

    And I haven't taken the time to upload it. Mostly because it's in narrative form, and I wasn't sure if anyone would like that. Still, you should all know what the story is: it's basically the equivalent of Fiendship is Magic, and the story of Dr. Doom. This was several years ago, and I honestly thought that King Sombra would work as the series equivalent of Dr. Doom: especially when he learns to

    The Many Deaths of Ursula

    Interesting how her demise evolved over time. Now if only I could pick a worthy death for Tirek in my Daughter of Discord: Of Love and Darkness story. I know one of these might be perfect if handled correctly, I just need to choose one.

    Anyone want to brainstorm Daughter of DIscord: Of Love and Darkness?

    As I said, i've been stuck on this most recent chapter for ages, and i've been preoccupied with other projects. However, my interest in working on this most recent chapter has begun to spike. Yet I remain stuck on ideas, and what to do for this next chapter. That's where you folks come in. I just need some folks to help me come up with some ideas for the chapter so I can get back to writing.

    Just so you know, i'm still alive

    Indeed, i'm still around, but i've been having other priorities to focus on. However, I am feeling the urge to return to work here. But there is a small problem. I want to start the next chapter of "Daughter of Discord: Of Love and Darkness", but I don't know where to take the story. There are certain details I don't want to change, but i'm trying to consider how Tirek's presence would change

MY voice casting for "The Light of Harmony's Hope" · 9:27pm Jun 19th, 2020

But only for specific characters, as you will soon see:

Original template is owned by AleximusPrime, and introduced to me by MelSpyRose

Some spoilers down below, so be weary if you care about that sort of thing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And I know all of you are sick, and tired me making these things endlessly. Without any end in sight, picking characters to played by certain actors I think fit only to change them up. Well, NOW things are different. For the most important characters in this series, I know exactly who I want as who, and who the characters themselves are. And this template has a description warning about not pestering people with the fact certain actors are gone. Just because we use them doesn't mean we don't acknowledge their deaths, okay?
We just honor the performances they've done, and the description IN the template explains in better detail.
Now it's time for ME to get explaining.
#1
Jim Cummings as Lord Tirek: Given the changes to personality i've given him, I felt it only fitting I give him a perfect voice to match. And in this case, surprisingly more fitting than Tim Curry, is fellow veteran actor, Jim Cummings, based on his role as Dr Robotnik in Sonic SatAM: the darkest, and most sinister depiction of Eggman to date. For Tirek, I want him to hold that same wicked, monstrous tone of voice, along with the echo Robotnik had every once in a while, even when outside his base. It gave him a somewhat inhuman vibe to him, which is ironic considering he's one of the last remaining humans on Mobius. But aside from competency on a much more appreciative level, Lord Tirek will hold the same air of arrogance, rage, yet sophistication Robotnik had when in control of a situation. Calm and collected unless a situation doesn't fully go his way. Including his Xanatos Gambits, which Tirek uses in my series. Either way, it's only right he be based on the most evil version of Eggman, seeing as how he too enjoys the art of transfiguring innocent creatures into transmutated slaves (Robotnik had robots, Tirek has his Tiracian Demons). And he relishes every ounce of evil he portrays while pretending to be underling to the fake Grogar. That will only make betraying him all the more delightful.
Yuri Lowenthal as Dusk Shine: Though never unexplored, given he IS Twilight Sparkle in a male's body, I have no doubts he would act alot like Peter Parker in terms of personality. A fun, goofy dork who sometimes acts socially awkward, but is also incredibly smart, talented in his field of expertise and is a hero first before anything else. That's why I chose Yuri for his role as the new Spiderman. To me, at least, he sounds like what a male Twilight would if he were to exist. And for those who played Spiderman PS4 and loved it, then you know what Dusk himself is gonna be like. Of this, I now hold the upmost confidence.
Josh Keaton as Courageous Heart/Scorpan: This might come as a surprise, but considering how everyone loves to use Courageous Heart outside the over-sexification of a certain online story I follow mainly for the art (because some who work on it make that stallion good enough to eat.XD). Kidding aside, I wanted to try something different, and so I came up with an idea: making Scorpan, Lord Tirek's brother and the one who actually beat him in the Harmoniaverse, is actually the reincarnation of Courageous Heart, who, ironically, died in battle against Lord Tirac, the reincarnation of Scorpan's brother. Almost like fate is binding these two together to ensure the balance is protected. Now, as far as voices go, those who watch Voltron LD know Shiro. It's been a while so I can't name his qualities by heart, but I know one thing he has in common with Scorpan: a weary survivor of horrifying ordeals who is brought back to help fight the enemy, and does his best to hide his pain with a smile, and by sharing compassion, and care for his friends and family. He would risk he very life if it meant they could live. Thus, both the ancient Alicorn of Light, and the Gargoyle who is not only him reborn, but potentially his successor, will sound exactly like Shiro does in VLD (except for the clone bastard). It just seems fitting for someone like him.
Matt Lanter as Night Terror: And yes, in case it isn't obvious, Sombra AND Tirek have found the essence of Nightmare Moon a new host to serve them, and help destroy Dusk Shine and his friends. The candidate, however, was a pegasus stallion we all knew, but one I won't reveal for shock value. Hence why Night Terror himself will sound like Anakin Skywalker from The Clone Wars when he ultimately slips into his Darth Vader persona. Star Wars Rebels gave us a tip on what that would be like. Matt already does terrific as Anakin, and has made him more popular than ever before. And I imagine if they reference ROTS, and show his descent to the Dark Side, he'll break all our hearts. All the more fitting to cast him as The Terror that Sails Through the Night for when his identity is revealed.
David Kaye as King Sombra: David Kaye is the perfect choice for King Sombra. Of that, noone can ever truly argue, though there are other worthy candidates, as well. However, the whole sounding like Beast Megatron is done to death, and i'm tired of it. So i'm going with someone different, yet still cool at the same time: Jedah Dohma from Capcom, and Darkstalkers. It's not quite the same ham as megs, but Jedah has his own sense of flare, and style as a vampire. And Sombra has a bit of a Dracula vibe surrounding him when he's serious. So for those who've played MvC:Infinite (despite your own disappointment in the game itself), Jedah Dohma is what King Sombra sounds like in "The Light of Harmonies Hope", just with thinner ham, and more of a mad sorcerer/doctor edge to him.
Tim Curry as Erebus: I can't believe I forgot The Pony of Shadows was basically british when bonded to Stygian? Or maybe he isn't, and I was overthinking it. But i'm definitely not overthinking this. Especially since there isn't much to discuss: aside from being named Erebus, which is the name of a god and a demon of different religions, he also has a deep, imposing voice reminiscent of The Lord of Darkness, but not to the full extent. He's basically a demon lord filling in for their dead leader, and his vocal pitch is lowered to beastly proportions. Perfectly fitting for what ultimately equates to a demon made of Darkness, wouldn't you say? Therefore, Erebus' voice will be exactly that as Doviculus from Brutal Legends. Honestly, though? I never expected Tim Curry and Jack Black to be featured in the same thing, whether it's a video game or something else.XD
The second part of the cast list for my Season 9 au series for Friendship is Magic. This time, settling on characters who have either made appearances, yet remain unimportant for now, have made revealing appearances that establish them as major characters, OR are important characters who have yet to be introduced completely.
So let's get started, shall we?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Corey Burton as Avalor The Wise: When I first saw this character, I knew that the actor who played as the mentor to Mickey Mouse himself in the world of sorcery, and magic, and the ways of the keyblade would be perfect. He seems like the stern, and strick, but fair, and caring teacher who holds all those under his charge, along with his friends in high regard. He IS the teacher of Starswirl the Bearded and Grogar in several timelines, after all: but such a thing isn't that complex when you're a fixed point in time, which makes you a multiversal singularity - meaning there's only one of him in the entire multiverse of MLP. And when it comes to his voice, he would sound exactly like Master Yen Sid. Not much to really change, so might as well keep what isn't broken, am I right?

Wendy Powell as Dismay: Originally, my friend Sir-Writesalot depicted the demonic thestral, Dismay, as a creature of pure Darkness based on Pennywise the Clown aka IT, and it wasn't bad. But honestly, I think she worked alot better as the equivalent of Envy from the Full Metal Alchemist franchise. And because Envy's gender is ambiguous, I made Dismay the same, and address her as they or them. Either way, they have the same malicious, ill-tempered sense of sadistic evil their homonculus counterpart does. They enjoy seeing others suffer because they view themselves as superior to all others save for Lord Tirek. And as a creature born of pure darkness, having the honor to host their master's Heart itself, how could they not? Plus, they definitely love annoying Chrysalis with the fact she's not the only shape-shifter in The Legion of Doom. And like with Avalor, Dismay's voice doesn't change, and sounds exactly like Envy. It carries the perfect blend of malevolence that one who hates others with burning passion, and thus lives for their agony should possess. So no changes around here.:)

Kevin Durand as Good Grogar: I know I said Grogar, in this, would be like Davy Jones, and he is. But when considering real, perfect voices for him, it also got me thinking even harder. Then I remembered Emperor Zarkon from Voltron Legendary Defender, who is by far one of the best revisions of an 80's villain i've had the pleasure of seeing. But.....seeing HOW he became the monster who conquered the universe was one that is hard to watch because of how sad it is. He was a hero who married, and fell in love, while also having a child on the way. But due to darker circumstances, she grew deathly ill, and Zarkon was desperate to save her by any means. Thus he exposed her and himself to raw Quintessence, aka the life blood of all creation, to save her - but that only killed them both, and resurrected them as the villains Emperor Zarkon and Haggard. You could say Grogar goes through something similar........except he loses himself when his mate, Laurana is harmed by the mortals of Equestria. His anger, and hatred for ponies develop, and it puts a strain on his relationship with her. HER mistake in creating the Third Generation is what broke the final strand, and drove him to a hate-filled rampage. One that cost him his original "Bewitching Bell" which was the source of his very being, and his Bahamut essence was damaged as a result. When he reformed again in the spiritual plane where Divine Beings reside, he became the fiend we know him as now. Kevin Durand definitely did a good job making us feel for Zarkon as he descended down the dark path, and that's why Grogar sounds just like King Zarkon before his corruption. Just a little less gruff unless he's angered.

Neil Kaplan as Emperor Grogar: Thus do I continue the cycle by casting Neil Caplan as the villainous G1 villain revised in a new, more nightmarish fashion, Emperor Grogar. Continuing the theme that had King Zarkon become Emperor Zarkon, who had basically become corrupted by his exposure to raw Quintessence after it killed, then resurrected him, Emperor Grogar goes through a similar phase when he reluctantly fights his mate, Laurana, for the fate of The Third Age/Generation of Equestria(G3). He unleashes hordes of demonic horrors on the ponies, and slaughters thousands as he tries to simply subdue Laurana. But she ain't having that, and prays to the Tree of Harmony and Light, Lignum Harmonia, to give her the power to end this fight once, and for all. With a burst of Harmony, AND Light, she wipes out the demon hordes, and she destroys Grogar's Bewitching Bell, which was once a gold bell around a red jeweled collar. When that was destroyed, his physical, and spiritual form were mortally wounded to near death, barely returning to the spirit realm. There, the Vashtar, which you know as The Darkness/Darkside of The Source, wormed its way into his heart, and helped restore him. What eventually emerged was an evil unlike any seen before. One who not merely wished to exterminate ponykind, but rule the universe itself in an age of monsters and darkness. He even forged a new Bewitching Bell named Belial's Maw to see it through. His ram form is that of Zarkon, himself, and carries the same chilling, bone-shaking intimidation that freaked out Neil's co-actors in the acting booth they shared. But his Baphomet form, which is later reinvented into a hybrid, frankenstein design by Tirek after it was also destroyed, is the same as the villain Dominus Ghaul from Destiny 2. Basically, Neils voice-pitch lowered to a deep base, and given a hellish complection to make the form sound as frightening as possible. Hopefully you guys get the idea, and what i'm aiming for.

Ashley Eckstein as Laurana: The role I had in mind was Ahsoka Tahno from Star Wars Rebels. By that time, Ahsoka has fully grown into a Force-Wielder on par with even her old master. In the series, she takes up something of the mentor figure role for our heroes as she helps them fight the empire, Vader and his inquisitors. This will be the same for Laurana, who already had to go through a metamorphosis following Sombra's assassination of her old vessel, The Tree of Harmony. The Kirin form on the right is what her material, "mortal" form used to be, before she evolved into the living manifestation of Harmony, itself. To get this out of the way, The Rainbooms tapped into her power when they vanquished the Dazzlings. Now she holds a new Bahamut form reminiscent of the elements and their rainbow aspects, and her earthly form is The Harmony Aspect from EG 2. A symbol she has shed away the old aspects of her old existence, and has taken an even greater one: a Zordon-esque mentor to The Student Six as the learn to wield their new elements of harmony. She also has her dark past with Grogar to contend with as she may inevitably have to face him at some point. Just like Ahsoka had to fave her old master, now Darth Vader, to protect her comrades. Ashley Eckstein knows how to deliver the performance of a wise warrior weary of old choices she made, and new realities she has to face, yet is willing to help the new generation reach their potential. Thus Laurana will sound just like Ahsoka, but with a bit of an echo in her voice. Kinda like when she adopted Twilight's/genderbent Dsk's likeness in the caves under the Friendship School.:)

Steve Blum as Apophis: And much like the serpent of Genesis who tricked Eve into helping introduce sin to the world of humanity, here is also the root of the Harmina-verse's problems. Simply put, he hates the Light and Harmony the Tree of Light helped bring into the universe, which disrupted his kingdom of nothingness. As such, he waged war with his immobile adversary for eons. Eventually pitting corrupt versions of Harmonia's creations against her own until there was enough hatred, rage and death in existence for Apophis to ascend to Bahamut status - and yet, he had become so much more. Once again simply put, this is the original Dark Lord of the Harmoniaverse who threatened all of reality with his existence. Though powerful, he cannot truly create anything: his power allows him to corrupt and enslave those with even an ounce of hate in their hearts. Kind of like a certain Dark Lord voice actor Steve Blum played as in the Shadow of Mordor AND War games. In fact, Apophis is more like Sauron than King Sombra himself is, though he works in different ways (like fusing with Tirek's ancestor, Tirac, to make him his heir, and then ensuring he'd be reincarnated as Lord Tirek of the today). When it comes to voices, as the serpent he sounds like Sauron in Shadow of Mordor's DLC which pitted Sauron again Celebrimbor, who stole his ring and tried to lead a revolt via mind-control. When in his Elder God form, he sounds like Sauron did in Shadow of War. But the distortion in his voice is lowered so you can hear Steve better. Wouldn't want to be inconsiderate to those who liked seeing Sauron, would I?:D

Now we're heading into the older parts of Equestrian History with characters who are tied into the first age of Equestria. And maybe even before then. But one thing is for sure: they all have an important impact on the Equestria of today. Whether it's through their legacy, or their direct appearance. And some on this list DO come into the modern era.

Some good........but most bad. So let's have a glimpse at them, shall we?:D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mandy Moore as Megan: The first of our ancient heroes from The First Age of Equestria. And before anyone asks, yes: Megan WAS human when she cam to Equestria. This was thanks to a lost art of magic spells long forgotten by the world, yet held safely in the ha-hooves of Avalor in the Axis Tempora, which is the realm where he keeps watch over ALL equestrian space, and time - or to put it simply, here he exists as a singularity, and can observe the Equestrian multiverse with ease. And HE is the keeper of the lost arts. But that's not what we're here to talk about. What is is the fact Megan was the first human to ever come to Equestria without being affected by dimensional transformations. And she was one of the Three heroes who worked together to fight against The Supreme Lord of Darkness, Tirac. She held the Crystal Seed of Lignum Harmonia itself, as a gift from Avalor to the Moochik, who gave it to the ponies and Megan to stop Tirac. Even as a seed, it held the essence of Harmonia, which was Antithesis to The Dark Crucible, the power of Apophis which manifest as The Rainbow of Light. Only when joined by The Ashlam, housed within Courageous Heart, and empowered by The Aurathon, which holds the essence of Creation - The Source, itself. And together, the three heroes, including the younger King Thoron, prevailed over the Darkness. But, let's just say history has a way of repeating itself by way of Prophecy, as we will see in time.:)
Now enough with the lore, let's get on with the voicing choice. I picked Mandy Moore/Rapunzel because I felt that a revised Megan could have a similar persona as Rapunzel from the Tangled franchise. Kind, caring, and compassionate, but also cheeky, clever, and a fighter at heart. Hell, give Megan a frying pan, and she'd probably be as unstoppable as Rapunzel is, even with magic hair. Either way, I could think of noone more suitable for the first human to ever grace the world of ponies.:)
Janet Varney as Gusty the Great: Not much is really known about Gusty the Great, other than her accomplishments: which amounted to her stealing Grogar's Bewitching Bell, which I like to call Belial's Maw, and hiding it with powerful sealing spells so that no creature alive could get to it. So I decided why not expand on the idea, and make her something akin to The Avatar. Only in her case, it was wielding the Crystal Seed, and sharing Laurana's power in order to vanquish Grogar, and banish his soul into Mar'Nulum, down in the deep, dark depths of the Midnight Mountain which stands as a breach in reality, itself - only in this case, it's for Darkness, and Evil. That could only happen thanks to Laurana facing Grogar head-on, and then giving Gusty the opportunity to use her control of Harmony to sever the bell from the Bahamut turned Djinn's neck, which killed his vessel as a result, because without the bell his mortal host was burned out due to being incapable of handling housing the very presence of a God in his body. She then used his own bell to drain enough of his magic for her and Laurana to seal him in The Realm of Darkness, before Laurana bonded herself to The Crystal Seed as a way to better protect Equestria now that her former mate was no longer a threat to the world.
For voice reasons, I wanted Janet Varney as a choice for Gusty because she could have an arc similar to Korra, where she started off as a bit of a blowhard before hardship, and tragedy taught her humility, and inner peace. Also makes the whole part about Laurana more relevant as it references Raava, Spirit of Light and Source of the Avatar Cycle. Korra is fun, and wonderful as she matures, and grows into the hero her predecessor Aang was. Gusty the Great I want to put through a similar phase, to make her worthy of the legends surrounding her. Even joining the same consciousness as Laurana, who grew to be close friends, when it was her time to pass on. Thus her soul would endure for all time within the Avatar of Harmony and Light, herself.:)
Richard Newman as King Thoron: That's right: The dragons of the Megablocks universe, who wield the Crystals of Power, are part of the Harmoniaverse, and thus part of my story, "Light of Harmonys Hope". If anyone here has ever seen Megablocks movie "Dragons: Fire and Ice", and also love Thoron, then you know why I have no need to change his voice. However, his voice pitch has an interesting reversal from the two movies made by Megablocks, including "Metal Ages".
In the first age, when he was in his late twenties (by dragon years), his voice sounded "normal". As age progresses with him his voice deepens, and his pitch lowers to give off a strong sense of authority, strength, and wisdom. He has a strong, and deep concern for all living things, and embodies the wise aspect of the Dragon Race. In fact, his race of Dragons are the direct descendants of the Bahamut who guarded Lignum Harmonia, and who now guard The Sacred Tree itself. Its gift to them are crystals of power befitting each, and ever dragon who comes of age, and is deemed worthy enough to receive them. They also keep a close watch on Equestria, using their magic to act as sentinels to the world. Thoron himself was chosen to be the bridge between the mortal, and holy planes as the Wielder of the Aurathon. Supposedly, the greatest dragon crystal to exist because it is an Element of Harmony: The Element of Balance. That is why it gives him so many elements to wield, and control - even time, and space itself, as it allows him the means of travelling to all worlds connected to Lignum Harmonia. The reason he wields this element so well is because out of many in existence, Thoron knows how to balance his own nature: his light and dark natures. The Crystal Dragons actually learn the ways of The Source, and how to balance The Ashlam and The Vashtar. If they succumb to the Vashtar, they turn into shadow dragons, who are unholy demons of living darkness who devour essence. BUT.....if they kill another Dragon, they create their opposite: The Light Dragons, who are Ashlam embodiments. The way of the Crystal Dragons are far more unique than any other as they hold vast, mystical knowledge even ponies do not fully possess anymore. And they are far more peaceful and benevolent than their earthly kin from the dragonlands: though I assure you that this does not make them weak. Because one dragon is enough to handle five to ten at a time, with or without their crystals.
Anyway, Young Thoron, as I was talking about before, was recently bestowed the Aurathon, also known as the King's Gem, and The Jewel of Creation. It marks the authority, and supreme lordship over the crystal dragons. Though Throron was unsure of if he was really ready, or worthy, of such responsibility. He would soon learn his own worth when Tirac's reign began, and a prophecy would emerge that would determine the fate of Equestria itself, both past and future:
"When singular shines the triple suns, and brings the power of many as one, Darkness, Evil and Anarchy, shall join the Supreme Lord to claim the key to bring great change to the magic world: in evil hands a fate most tragic. But when come together warriors three, and six friends who live in bright harmony, the destiny of balance of fate shall be challenged by this Trinity Great: A human brought from another world, whose heart shines bright, and her kindness heard, a champion of Light with qualities few can see, with a heart of Courage blessed, strong, and free, and a dragon born with the strength of virtue, who balances his soul made of two. When the heaven's light makes the crystal sing, only Harmony, Balance and Light can make Vashtar feel their sting. Only then shall wicked Darkness whose powers descend be brought low to nothing, and finally end."
Though unsure if this prophecy included him, it made sense, in a way, given what the Aurathon itself represents, and why he was chosen to wield it. All his life, he worked to keep the light and darkness in his heart in check, never letting either side rule over him. Perhaps this was what the prophecy spoke of, and what was needed to end Tirac's power, and the power of Apophis, who lived in the demonic centaur, and in his cursed Heartstone, which he and his host Tirac were going to use to harness the power of the heavens, and ascend to Primordial Status, and reign over the Harmoniaverse in The Age of Eternal Darkness. Thoron, after joining with the ponies, meeting Megan, and fighting off Tirac's raiding stratadons, and learning of this plot from the Moochik, they eventually encounter Courageous Heart, who is also on the path to stopping Tirac's rule over their world - made much better by the fact he is an Avatar of Light/Ashlam. Now, all that was needed was to find The Midnight Mountain, and face Tirac and his armies. Luckily, Courageous had been making friends on his journey, who happen to represent aspects of harmony itself, they had all that they needed to fulfill the prophecy.
Now all they needed to do was confront Tirac, and save their world before the event known as The Great Conjunction arrives.
Victor Caroli as Supreme Lord Tirac: Same reason as the first, and I think you can all agree with me on this.
Though you'll be surprised to find out Tirac was not always The Supreme Lord of Darkness who ruled over Equestria in the First Age. He was once the proud, and noble ruler of the Centaur race, who coexisted in harmony with the other great races: The Kirin, Changelings, Dragons, Yaks, Buffalo, Zebra's, Felids, Avians, Griffons, Hippogriffs, Bovines, Rams, Minotaurs, Werewolves, Vampires, and, of course, the Three Equine Races. In fact, Tirac himself was one of the leading members of a Council of Harmony, which maintained balance between the many kingdoms, and races of Equestria. You could say he was the War Minister, who kept the others advised on matters that involved combat, given that Centaurs are renowned for their warrior skills, and hunting prowess.
Then came the day the unthinkable had occurred: The Primordial of Anarchy, Apophis, who caused the demise of the Bahamut and Djinn alike arose from the darkest bowels of Equestria, through Mar'Nulum's hidden passageways into other realms. Upon arising, he made no secret his intentions, and began to ravage the land to destroy all life, and bring forth the power of Anarchy and Darkness to Equestria. Avalor the Wise himself warned the Council of Harmony of the threat, and advised that the mightiest of the kingdoms must go forth, and use the strength of their bonds to end Apophis once, and for all. The first Dragon King, along with the leaders of Yaks, Satyrs, Griffons, Gargoyles, Changelings, Kirin, Queen Faust the Alicorn first, and finally Tirac went forth to fave this great evil. Armed with enchanted armor bathed in Cold Iron, which negates ALL magic, and the power of the Soul Sabers, which they were trained to harness and wield their own souls in the form of mighty weapons. They then set out to vanquish the bringer of Ragnarok, and save their world. It was this battle that sadly saw the first dragon king, and alicorn queen slain, while the others were felled in the battle. Only Tirac, whose resolve to win, and both the light and darkness in his heart held in balance, fueled his soul saber, and gave him the means of striking down the Draconian devil. His attacks brought Apophis low, and left the Centaur King victorious.
But this was not the end of The Primordial of Anarchy.
He could sense ambition in Tirac's heart, and a desire for power. Thus he whispered sweet nothings, and offered honeyed words that appealed to his deep desires. Swearing all that he desire could be his, and more beyond: IF he allowed Apophis to fuse his essence with Tirac's own soul. To basically house his heart, soul, and power within the centaur and merge with him. The process wouldn't make Tirac the Primordial's new body: he would simply wield all that made Apophis what he is, including his dark powers. And his consciousness would be kept safe within the confines of Tirac's own subconscious. Meaning Tirac would be free to pursue his desires without the interference or control of Apophis interfering. And in the end, the Centaur agreed to the bargain, having been swayed by the dark one's words. Thus did Apophis transfer his mind, heart, and soul into the centaur who had damaged him, and left behind an empty husk. So when Tirac dealt the final blow, only the crude flesh died. Apophis now lived on inside of Tirac, who had become the Avatar to his wicked power. And once peace was reestablished, Tirac made his move and began raising an army of corrupt creatures known as Tiracians, dubbed in his honor, who he used to terrorize Equestria, and wage war with the other races. Even turning other races such as the Minotaurs, Satyrs, Changelings, Werewolves (which are what Diamond Dogs are a subspecies to, I might add), Gargoyles and Vampires fell to his corruption and became his slaves. He even took the the realm of Scorpan as his Kingdom, and the place he would make into the seat of his empire: The Midnight Mountain.
Time passed, and none could oppose The Supreme Lord of Darkness, and Anarchy. For only the power of Harmony and Light empowered by Creation could end his power, and destroy him. But none existed in the world who could wield those powers.........until he heard of a prophecy from a Crystal Dragon who was also a seer, that champions of Harmony, Light, and Creation would unite Six elements during the great conjunction, when two suns would pass by Equestria, and cross Equestria's own sun to shine a single ray of Light into the center of their world to bring about a great change caused by immense power. Tirac wanted to harness this power to make himself the Primordial Apophis was, and reign forever. He forged a crystal of crimson shade made from his own essence, and Apophis' essence, for this purpose. He also learned the art of smithing to craft a powerful weapon to wield the power of The Darkness in its purest form. He used his own Soul Saber as the crux for this creation, which became a retainer of ancient dark magics, and the mightiest of metals. There, within this demonic device was captured the essence of The Vashtar, in the form of what is called "The Dark Crucible". With The Dark Crucible, he planned to draw power from the suns, and then channel the power held within to spread his power across the world. All would be corrupted, and Tirac's power would reach its Zenith to give him the omnipotence he so greatly desired.
But his neglect of The Prophecy would lead to his ultimate defeat, and the shattering of The Heartstone, which would remain lost for ages to come, along with The Dark Crucible.......... until the Fourth Age, that is.
Keith David as Grothmog: Following his merging with Apophis, and his reign over Equestria, Supreme Lord Tirek knew he would need an army to further strengthen his foothold over the world. His powers could do many great, and terrible things - especially destroy all. But he could not fully create things from nothing. He was Malzalam, the corrupt version of the Primordials. Thus he could only corrupt others into darker versions of themselves by infusing them with darkness, or use his power to merge creatures into hybrid forms. The Tiracians were this result, and enslaved six races to serve him. But he also required a powerful general to lead this army by his side. Thankfully, Apophis could share memories with him, and thus told him of one such being who came to Equestria along with six others, and was currently in stasis in the depths of the earth. That was when Tirac sought out, and awakened the mighty Grothmog, King of the Balrogs: the fallen angels of The Source. Though unconvinced at first, Grothmog was shown the evil union his master, Apophis, had made with the centaur in order to preserve his legacy. So it was that he pledged his loyalty to The Supreme Lord of Darkness, and became his General. He lead many victories against Tiracs greater foes, and even convinced the monstrous Typhon to aid them in their conquest of the world. But Grothmog would find himself bested by the most unlikely creatures imaginable: a human girl wielding The Crystal Seed, and an Alicorn Stallion who wielded The Ashlam, who together fought against him much like Bellerophon and Pegasus against the Chimera. And together, with the powers they were still learning to wield, they felled mighty Grothmog, and used Harmony AND Light to seal him away before they would turn their attention to Tirac, himself.
And I could think of noone more suitable for a ruthless, and fearsome demon like this than Keith David. Keith David himself is no stranger to playing villains, and evil gods and demons. But his role as Chaos, the Final Fantasy universes God of Discord, fit the bill far more for his commanding presence, and his fearsome disposition. Grothmog is a similar case due to his status as an Archdemon class. This makes him equivalent to an archangel bahamut, and just as close to omnipotence. That means he is also arrogant, proud, and quick to anger as only a barbarian can. Especially one with a god complex of his own. Something Keith David is good at depicting in several of his performances, I promise you.:)
Jonathan Adams as Typhon: Typhon is an enigma of a monstrous kind. Supposedly, he was another of Grogar's creations, but this was before The Bahamut of Darkness would turn to evil. He was just learning of his power to create life, and he wanted to test the full extent of it. He got what he wanted........and far more. The result of his novice practitioning was a monster who dwarfed the mountains themselves, and could make them crumble with the mere stomp of his spear-like legs, or the slap of his numerous, serpentine tails. An armored body that could survive on land, in the sea thanks to the gill-lungs in his body, and even the skies as he held the power to create massive wings of blue, oceanic power. A true Titan who was rage, and power incarnate who only sought to prove his might against the mightiest of opponents. That is how he came to blows with Grothmog, whose power nearly rivaled his own. It impressed him enough that he joined Grothmog in aiding Lord Tirek for the opportunity to crush those weaker than him, and make himself king of all monsters. But during the period which would be the final battle against Darkness, Typhon would face opposition from the most unlikely source imaginable: a Black Dragon wearing an iron necklace housing a Green Crystal of immense power. This was none other than Thoron, who wanted to put an end to Typhon's senseless violence, and defang Tirac's forces further.
Thus he challenged the mighty titan to a duel for the fate of Equestria. Arrogant Typhon laughed at the idea, but still indulged the dragon who barely fit his hand. He expected this was going to be quick, and easy. Imagine his surprise when he saw the true might Thoron wielded. The Aurathon gave him control over all earthly elements, and even those of the heavens. Thus he used the power of Earth, Flame, and lightning to match horrible beast. The battle which ensued was one that would make the Greek tale of Zeus' battle with the Equestrian horror's namesake proud. The earth itself crumbled, and shuddered from the might of these two godly foes. For a time, the two remained equally matched. However, what Typhon didn't know was that Thoron was not even using the Crystal's full power to command the elements, and was thus dragging on the fight in order to tire out the titan. What's more is that he had tricked Typhon into taking the fight close to Midnight Mountain, where most of Tirac's own forces would suffer greatly as the land around the mountain was ravaged, and the mountain itself nearly collapsed without Tirac's power to protect it. He then watched the rest of the fight from then-on. Of course, Thoron started getting a little overconfident, and it almost cost him when Typhon grabbed him. The titan threatened to tear out the dragon's tendons, and leave him trapped in a cave for all eternity, or until time and age returns him to the dust.
Were it not for the timely intervention of Megan and Courageous Heart, who shot the beast in one of his six eyes, that might have happened. But thanks to them, and Courageous using his Ashlam powers to replenish Thoron's stamina, the fight resumed. And this time, thought Typhon still held strong, it was clear who was going to be the victor of this fight now that Thoron decided to stop holding back because of what the Titan almost did to him. Combining his Fire and Lightning, Thoron finally struck a blow to the giant monster that sent him reeling backwards, and crashing into the earth: eight mountains broke apart due to this collision. When he finally caught his second wind, Typhon finally saw how outmatched he was. And now, for the first time since his birth, he feared. He feared this dragon who wielded the elements like a great, dark god. And he no longer cared for Tirac's ambitions, or plans. He just wanted to escape the one who bested him. Unfortunately, Thoron could not allow such a violent, ruthless, and destructive monster to roam free. So with all his strength, which would wipe out his reserves in the end, he channeled every ounce of the Aurathon's power into gathering the broken mountains surrounding the land, and form an even more massive one that dwarfed even the monster himself. Once completed, and his mountain ready, Thoron did the only thing he could do with it: he threw it right on top of Typhon, and entombed him inside. The young dragon king's strength dropped from exertion, but he would recover in time to face Tirac, who now saw the threat these creatures posed. And Typhon would remain trapped inside his prison, which would come to be known as Mt. Etna, for many ages.
Or at least four of them.
Now onto the voice actor choice. When I saw Green Lantern TAS, I was impressed by Jonathan Adams as Atrocitus, the first main villain of the series. Atrocitus is the leader of the Red Lantern Corps, whose power comes from rage. Atrocitus, however, weaponizes his rage through his powers, strength, and combat skills. Though when it comes to verbal communing, Adams definitely gives Atrocitus the vibe of being an intelligent, tactical leader, but one who is still a rage-filled barbarian whose ever word is spoken in hisses and growls. He spews out rage, and arrogance everytime he talks. And the same is intended for Typhon, too. After all, if you're gonna have a giant rage monster who only gets off on fighting, and destroying while fueled by animalistic rage, who better than John Adams to depict such a character?
