How I describe Welcome to Distopia · 10:17am Jun 11th, 2020

I have contributed to a story in which I must resist shipping myself with characters that want to be shipped with me, and it is both frustrating and absolutely fucking hilarious. the dilemma is very real.

This is mostly a shitposty blog post but god damn is working with Sanguine on Welcome to Distopia fun. It's fun because it's a universe that runs on harem anime and visual novel logic and we get to throw ourselves at it along with everything that entails, the common sense, the reactions and the fun of figuring out how things would be resolved and how.

Lorraine is me, her reactions and dialog are based off of my own personality and it is so much fun writing a character that isn't my usual brand of self-insert OC and more true to life.

I am just happy I got to write something today. the back pain is worth it.

You're sweet, I'm glad you enjoy writing with me.

It took me a sec but i found the emojis!

I completely love the Welcome to Distopia and it actually makes me happy to know both of you actually enjoy and love writing it, and personally I always thought self-inserts should be like you guys did it, it's not a self-inserts if it the character only partially look like you, plus fact that self-inserts has Zero, and I mean most time they have Zero common sense (of most stories I seen) so I'm just very happy to know you guys take this thing seriously (self-insert, plot, etc)

Thank you, I've been surprised at how popular it is as nothing I've worked on has gotten the same level of attention. I hope you and everyone else continues to enjoy it as I do try to take comments into consideration when writing.

That's because this is an amazing self insert, as
5282452 said. You're taking how visual novels work seriously, and you're throwing yourself in not to be in the hero but as just the protagonist. And it's brilliant, it works, and I keep up with the updates almost religiously, as y'all know ;P

Aw, that's great to hear.
