An update for my followers · 6:23pm Jun 7th, 2020
I'm a slow writer at the best of times, and it's one of my biggest gripes. In the time it takes me to update a single chapter, Some Leech has posted three new stories, and Semillon at least has the excuse of posting wordcounts per chapter in excess of what I put out per story (and what wonderful chapters he puts out). I've got commissions to do, and I'm aware that it's been taking a while. I am still working on them, but yesterday I was informed that I have an upcoming exam in the beginning of July. That means that, for the next couple of weeks, I'll need to put my writing on hold and focus maniacally on my studies. Right afterwards, I shall get back to writing away for you. Until then, here's a quick summary of what's happening;
1. I have a commission I'm writing for NicLove which is taking a bit of niggling to get right, but it's on the way, and I'll hopefully have it done within a couple of days of returning to writing after my exam.
2. I've got two other commissions on the go from outside of FIMfiction, and they need a little focus of their own. I'll need to take some time to get them wrapped up neatly for their respective commission...ers? Commissionees? Buyers.
3. I'll be updating Friendship (With Benefits) Is Magic (With Extra) with a new story-based chapter soon, and then another almost entirely clop-based chapter after that. Neither chapter has been started yet due to reasons 1 and 2, but I've got them clearly mapped out in my head.
4. Galvanised's Silverstream chapter is coming along, and involves a bit more romance than previous chapters. I'm working through it, and, because I'm a perfectionist with a silly sense of proportion and an inability to accept a finished product, I'm combing through it to make sure I capture the best essence of her character I can, and make the whole setup and interactions as consistent as possible. She's a fantastic character in the show and I want to present her well. Expect that to come out at some undisclosed point in the future. Get hyped for it, because I don't want to be the only one hyped for a Silverstream chapter. Getting hyped is like laughing at a joke; it's weird if you're the only one doing it.

As a fellow slow writer, I feel this pain in my soul. I have engaged maximum hype for Galvanised! (okay, maybe max hype was reserved for the Gallbar chapter, but still, like, mega hype.)
