    Well, color me impressed.

All 78 episodes on 2 discs, the translation is just as solid as the Hulu version, the subtitles are on by default, and they even translated the mid-episode character cards.

Well, because there was no TYT this week...

Here's an absolutely adorable tutorial on how to hug your pony from doubleWbrothers.

So I've been busy away from ponies... Again...

With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.

That story is now complete, and posted in its entirety over on AO3.

Another Day of Downloading and Writing · 4:34am Jun 7th, 2020

Finally got my hair cut yesterday. It was by far the longest it had ever been before in my life thanks to this pandemic. But now, all shaved off, and my head is light again!

I figured it was finally time to get a picture up of my new pride and joy.

This is my first experience with water cooling. The CPU is almost always a full 10 degrees cooler than the GPU, and the temps fall far quicker when load is decreased. Color me impressed.

Due to the sheer size of the best-looking games in my library, I haven't been able to do a ton of testing yet. But what I have played has blown me away.

Division 2: Ultra settings, 3440x1440, solid 60 frames per second if servers are cooperative.
Star Wars Battlefront 2: Ultra settings, 3440x1440, solid 60 frames per second.

That's all so far. Looking forward to seeing how Jedi Fallen Order looks tomorrow; it's one of the more modern games that seriously made my previous CPU struggle. After that, probably Red Dead Redemption 2 (which I'll probably have to start over unless I find out how to put my save file onto a stick and move it over), No Man's Sky (seriously need to find out how to move a save, don't want to start over there), Witcher 3 and Resident Evil 2. I was already running Master Chief Collection fine no problem.

But no worries, I haven't been just sitting here staring at download progress bars. I've gotten some writing done every day, and hope to have an update for my faithful readers soon.

I wouldn’t have thought you’d be a No Man’s Sky fan. You’ve railed against products (and storefronts) unfinished on release.

True. The scale of No Man's Sky captivated me.

1.0 was barebones and clearly not ready, but you know, I wasn't really part of the outrage because something there did click. I played 60 hours before moving on. The Beyond update brought me back periodically.

And when it comes to developers redeeming themselves in the long run, Hello Games is always, always the first to come to mind. I haven't spent a dime since the initial $60 in 2016, and while there's still areas to improve, I don't think any other space flight / planet exploration sim has come close to what NMS has accomplished.

Please don't mention Star Citizen. Since that game's announcement, NMS has been announced, delayed, delayed, launched, and updated multiple times, and that fucking thing isn't even out of alpha and people are paying for it.

Wow, that was a mouthful. Cheers.
