People before property, lives before livelihoods. · 8:18am Jun 5th, 2020
These were hard concepts for me to understand, especially as someone who personally believes in law above all and it's never acceptable to break them or ignore them (1 law for all)... But right now I see in both Canada and the US groups risen or rising to power that exploit, manipulate and otherwise abuse law in order to put places and money above the lives of the people the laws were supposed to protect and worse, applying the law and application of the law unfairly.
I have stood in and in front of crowds of hundreds of protesters. I've survived 4 full blown riots as a security guard maintaining order. What I see now in the US? What I see is police not doing their jobs, provoking and escalating. Not de-escalating and remaining passive in the face of anger and anguish.
These are people. They aren't protesters or rioters. They're people who've been murdered for centuries by people like [REDACTED] who think they're less than human... or "lesser human". That is not a mind set that will end the violence, it's a mindset REQUIRING the violence. Kneeling didn't work, talking didn't work, peaceful protests have been sabotaged or attacked... What's left for them to show their outrage, to push others into action?
The truth of the matter? It's going to be their lives.
I've worked alongside police, even here there's racial inequality in the treatment of the black community, I've watched for years and never stood up against it because 1 voice, 1 person will not make a difference. It's only when people stand up together when people like me who don't support groups like BLM (Every encounter I've had with BLM as security has been unbelievably negative) stand with them to force it to end that it actually will.
Now is that time.

Enjoy the Prime Minister of Canada struggling to remain diplomatic and not upset anyone.
Black Lives Matter.
It isn't that all lives don't matter, but that Black Lives currently Matter Less in the eyes of the government and police. Until Black Lives Matter, then all lives don't matter equally, and everyone's lives should matter equally.
You're a real one, KMCA, thanks for speaking out.

Everyone else is, I deserve no more praise than them, less because it took their words, their voices and efforts get me to speak out. Like I said, now is the time to speak up.
That being said you probably saw my other rant on the one discord server, this was in one where my view was in the minority... Hard to believe white supremacists exist in a fandom about friendship.
Good on you for speaking up.
