Just clockin’ in for a few updates...
Jeez, what a turbulent few months it’s been, eh? I’m sure I’m not the only one that had this happen, but I actually lost my job for about a month and a half! Scary shit, but I managed to get by quite reasonably well with a little bit of assistance (which may or may not bite me in the ass later down the line if I’m not careful), AND I ended up getting my job back about a couple weeks ago. Here’s hoping I get to keep it so I don’t have to go through that nonsense again.
On the writing side of things, I’ve been slowly plotting along with some chapters. I’ve finished (but haven’t posted) one chapter and planned out another chapter for “Sworn Through Swords”. If you haven’t checked out that story, there’s only one posted chapter currently and I could really use some feedback. I’ve also been working on the next chapter in the “Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children” anthology story, and said chapter is going to do some light exploration on two very significant powers that exist in Equestria. If I’m not careful, Beautiful Stories might end up becoming my next pet project, lol.
I do have plans on continuing “King of Games”, but I need to get into the correct mindset for the one before I can go any further (the next planned chapter for that one is Atem’s encounter with the user of the Millennium Necklace, so it’s going to be a doozy). I’m also trying to get motivated into continuing my other story “Mare of the Shadows”, but that one requires the right mood to get into.
On the other hobby side, I’ve been getting into some old games lately. Most recently was an SMT duology called Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha VS. Only been playing the first one at the moment, but it’s been meeting expectations. Also, a very good friend of mine recently got me the 10 year old “Pokemon: SoulSilver” for the DS (in absolutely beautiful condition to boot!). I’ve never had the chance to get into pokemon, and Lugia was a long time childhood favorite (because of the Pokemon 2000 movie), so having this in my collection is something special. I can’t play it yet, since I don’t own a 3DS or the like, so I’ll just have to wait until the time is right. Still, it’s mere existence in my home makes me smile every time.
Anyway, that’s everything significant I wanted to share, which is WAY more than I would normally... Hope to talk to you (few) good readers and writers soon. I’m always open to chat.
