Today, for my 430th blog post, I’ve decided to show you all what my 29th favorite video made by a brony or pegasister is.
Having been thinking about it for quite some time, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to show you guys a video featuring Rarity and Spike, with Spike being the singer and Rarity being the subject of the song.
The song Spike sings in this video is “She’s a Lady”, written and sung by the legendary Tom Jones, who’s known for having a very “full-throated, robust baritone” voice. Jones also performed “Perfect World” for Disney’s “The Emperor’s New Groove”.
Anyway, having seen this video many times in the past, I couldn’t help but feel instantly amazed by it. Everything about it was so well-worked and edited, and Spike and Rarity were the perfect characters for the song used in this video. Every time I watched, it definitely got my fanaticism for “Sparity” going and helped me remember how much of a precious jewel Rarity is, not just for her beauty...but for her generous heart and how much she cares for others. All of that is why she’s one of my favorite characters, really. Along with her sense of humor and that she’s beautiful even without trying to be.
The only thing I couldn't help but note was that the song's end seemed to have been cut from its actual 2 minute and 52 second run time to ending at 2 minutes and 40 seconds. But that's okay, I still think the video is awesome no matter what.
