Personal issues - a Quarantine Update/Semi-Rant · 3:08pm May 19th, 2020
I've been meaning to do this for a while now. I can safely say that unless something changes and turns around the course of this whole clusterfuck of a quarantine, I will declare it's TEOTWAWKI for everyone.
Believe me, I want to write and enjoy my time as much as I can. But when you literally have options like twiddle your thumbs, browse reddit until your eyes bleed, watch streams until your eyes bleed, update various games, etc...
Yeah, to say I'm bored is an understatement. Yesterday my family decided to clean out our pantry and re-paint the inside. Now everything that was previously findable inside is now spread out amongst the heap of food/baking materials/the like that's covering our kitchen and parts of the hallway. I haven't had good luck trying to find my snacks in that mess.
Plus, with our family's quiet time rule and with things hoasw they are for Destiny 2 (A completely different topic of its own.) and the Xbox in general, I just have to keep myself occupied until 3 PM, when I can get back on.
Which is easier said than done in my case. Things just are so bland, dull, and stagnated right now, I feel lie I lose at least 10% of my brain cells every hour. And on the Xbox, a lot of the games I have installed, I have either completed fully, I don't feel like playing them, or it doesn't have things to do or progression that make sme feel happy to play it. (Destiny 2, The Division 2, Warframe, etc.)
Plus, with the 4 other people in the house, 2 of them (My brother and sister) spend all their time sleeping, and my dad is working from home, so that leaves mom as my one anchor of sanity in this quagmire of Covid-19.
And don't even get me started on politics right now. I've learned its a bad move to post anything political on Fimfiction, and after seeing the reactions to some of the late, great, MythrilMoth's political posts, it reinforced that further. But I just can't keep it contained right now.
If our government, minus the President (Won't say anything more about it), doesn't rip its fucking head out from inside its cavernous ass and work to fix the mistakes that were made up to now, we're downright, bonafide FUCKED . I mean, Trump has publicly stated that he takes Hydroxichloroquine tablets to prevent exposure to Covid-19, yet any person with a brain knows that they've been debunked as a method of prevention and are dangerous, possibly lethal, to ingest. But I forgot our President doesn't have a brain.
Still, with all the peddled conspiracy theories becoming mainstream, armed rallies/amateur revolts on the steps of state capital buildings, and the shit flinging in general, it just makes me want to scream "HOW DID IT COME TO THIS?" at the top of my lungs, amplified by a loudspeaker set to max.
Frankly, if we get 4 more years of Trump, if there's even an election to begin with, God help us all. I pray every day that he loses his mind completely, and with those hydroxichloroquine tablets he's been taking, it seems quite possible.
Enough politics. Back to me.
As I sit on our couch, listening to Sunday Baroque on the radio, it's just exhausting to realize that we're in the middle of a historical event and nothing will ever be the same when this is all said and done. I just hope we survive long enough to see it all said and done.

Lethal? No, this is something that has been used to treat other illnesses/conditions. ANYTHING, is lethal if you don't be careful with it. You can kill yourself with sleep medication or simple drugs if you're stupid, this medication does work, it just has some side effects that can get dicey. There were dumb people who got fish tank cleaner ingested because it had the same name, but that is just people being dumb
