Change. It's a constant.
It's hard to believe that it's already been 6 years since I joined this fandom...and since we lost our brother. My last post here is about him, and it's kind of appropriate of a note to carry on with, as he was always trying new things.
With Covid-19 gripping the world, a lot of things are changing. How we see each other, or not, as it were. It's been exactly 41 days since I've seen my friends and my partner and even longer since I've seen my biological brother and his now-wife. We went to a wedding in January, and by March, the whole world had changed. But, you already know that!
I haven't written anything in a long time, especially not anything pony related. But when Nyronus invited me (and all our friends) to PonyFest Online 2.0 I was exposed to, nay, immersed in the world of Pony that I had forgotten, or some may say, abandoned, for so long. In a way, I had turned my back on myself, and everything I loved. Closeted myself in safety so that I didn't have to face the dark truths of this world, and especially about myself.
But you see, Ponyfics don't shy away from darkness. In their genuine exploration, they expose themselves...their very cores. And that is what drew me to the fandom all those years ago. Even though the show has ended (and I have so much to catch up on), the fandom lives on. A lot of people have move on, vanished, and some have even died. But the spirit of Bronies lives on in the art they create, and I hope one day to contribute to that art as well.
So, hi. I'm npside, and I'm back.
(P.S.-I just added 129 fics to my to be read folder. Help me. )
Welcome back! Best of luck to ya!
