What does it mean to have social anxiety?

Have you ever done something embarrassing and felt like everyone is staring at you, judging you silently? That's how social anxiety feels, going out into public and talking to people, on a daily basis, you second guess yourself constantly, it causes you to be on edge, constantly with the anxiety, the difference between being antisocial and having social anxiety is clear but misconstrued, and

What does it mean to be antisocial?

Let me explain, it's losing the will to interact with people especially larger groups, avoiding them and sometimes abandoning social interaction for online interaction, why? Because the way I see it coming from someone who is also antisocial, for one I do it to avoid major conflict and to avoid people who will backstab you at any given chance, people who will make your life a living hell and not

Has anyone else ever contemplated how stupid phone bills really are?

Like, honestly, what was going through the people who created the internet and data's heads? "Okay, we're going to make the greatest innovation ever, everyone is going to want it, they'll be able to talk to their families, they'll be able to stream whatever videos they want, and they'll be able to do pretty much anything, but we're gonna be dicks and make them pay for it" I just find it stupid

I'm in slight distress right now... · 1:30pm Apr 6th, 2020

Wait, what happened? :rainbowlaugh:

I'M TELLING MY IRL BFF ABOUT THIS HE'S GONNA LOSE HIS SHIT

yooooooooo let's gooooooooooo yeet cannon it better blow a body back if it hits someone

Would anybody care to tell me what in the name of Equestria is going on?!! I mean, I get the feeling that this is so wrong. You're not supposed to go around yeeting people with guns! Since when did that become a thing? :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

Edit: I think I may have played PUBG a bit too much...

5236974
it's not meant for yeeting people, I don't own guns for shooting people, if anyone does they're psycho and belong locked up in a padded room, I own guns for simply shooting clay pigeons and little paper targets, and self defense, and the "yeet cannon" is a disgrace to the second amendment to be honest, it's based off of gen-z humor and it's complete bullshit

5236979
Yeah, as I said, no going around yeeting people in the face, gun or no gun. That's for games like PUBG and CoD and Battlefield, NOT real life. Also, why would somebody ever have to yeet people just for self-defense? The name of this gun makes no sense at all. :facehoof:

5236986
exactly my point, it's not hi-point it's hi-pointless, yeet will never be a good name for a firearm, it's a disgrace! It needs to be purged!!! hi-point was already known as a shit brand for firearms this is just the cherry on top of why I will never purchase one from them, I'd rather use their "yeet cannon" as a fucking boomerang to throw instead of shooting it, and also, while we're on the topic of the 2nd amendment it needs to be protected, it's not a bad thing, and guns don't kill people, people kill people

5236991
So, to sum it up, this would be my reaction:

...it better launch someone or something thirty feet away.

On a side note...I kinda want one.

5237009
hi-point is shit and the name is from an internet poll where I can guarantee that the majority of the people who voted were gen-z idiots who don't own any firearms let alone have never shot one, I'd rather use their "yeet cannon" as a fucking boomerang to throw instead of shooting it

5237016
It'd be hilarious if it was just a high powered airsoft gun.

5237019
I wish that were the case, and one more thing, if Hi-Point was actually stupid enough to actually consider naming it the "Yeet Cannon" let alone actually fucking do it, do you actually think for a second that they are smart enough to make a quality firearm??? and I'm also considering the idea that this was just an attempt to boost sales because nobody really buys their shitty firearms

5237020
I can guarantee it's just a sales booster. I know about thirty people at least who'd buy it for the memes.

5237021
I rest my case.
also... my apologies for the rant, I feel very strongly about this

well that's interesting, but I know nothing on firearms so I don't know what to say

Personally, I don't see a problem with this. HiPoint guns are supposed to be cheap, of course they aren't the best in quality. Heck, I even looked up some of the reviews, and the reviewers were cracking jokes(who are full blown adults, much older then your 18 year old sef). And what exactly is wrong with Gen Z culture, Kody? I'm not trying to sound rude, I'm just confused by your anger.

5237048
I mean, it's somewhat natural for Gen-z to have their sense of humor, and things of that nature, especially with their access to technology and internet trends, but I do find it a bit cringey and a hell of a lot immature, and while I have nothing against it, I do find it a bit insulting when they/along with other people, who the majority of them know nothing about firearms and things that come along with that begin to influence and accommodate those things to their audience, although they know nothing about it, but on the other hand I believe that things of this type will introduce them into these fields and possibly help them to grow interested in purchasing, maintaining, and properly owning one or possibly more firearms and also I see it as a benefit in the fight against the liberals trying to take our second amendment rights, I don't even think the majority of them had any intent in purchasing this firearm, they saw an opportunity to make a meme, and took it without thinking of the backlash it would get, therefore I don't like it one bit and I think that this was a setback for the brand, which as you said their firearms are made to be cheap, which is low down in itself, better quality will pull in more customers, and higher paying ones at that, so all in all, I'm against it

5237063
Kody...It's just a HiPoint gun that was called something silly. It has nothing to do with "Liberals taking away your second amendment rights", whatever the heck that means. And what backlash? In every single gun review channel I saw, the review(who was more often in not men in their 20's-50's), they had a positive attitude! Now I'm even more confused.

5237076
firstly: liberals = too far left wing to be saved Democrats, who blame all this nation's problems such as gun violence on video games and think that guns should be outlawed and banned from this country.
secondly: the point is that people shouldn't interfere in something they know nothing about and firearms are not a joke and they should be taken seriously because while they are something I advocate for and think very highly of they are still dangerous and should be handled as such, "Yeet Cannon" makes them sound like a stupid little toy, in conclusion, I don't think it was the best idea for a name

5237086
Kody, for you to say that all Liberals fit your definition of what they are is very offensive AND an opinion of yours. And I understand why you don't like the name. Firearms SHOULD be taken seriously, but ONE gun being called a silly name is not going to cause any harm. It brings awareness to guns and may compel them to do research.

5237016
I don't know man. Even superman ducks when someone throws a gun at him.

5237048

HiPoint guns are supposed to be cheap, of course they aren't the best in quality.

So basically Derringers? Early on that's how they were known.

5237088
excuse me, there are some good liberals out there, my apologies, and while that may be the case, I was speaking for the major population of them, I should have clarified, and you may not see the problem now but when a really stupid kid thinks it'll be a good idea to sneak a "Yeet Cannon" into school to show it to all their friends then we have a fucking pandemic on our hands and there will more than likely be a nation wide recall, cuz, sad as it is, there are people irresponsible enough to do those sorts of things, and there are more than likely going to be issues regarding it in years to come, it's funny and good now but, there will almost always be contingencies, all it takes is one kid who thinks it's a toy, and takes it to school, or one kid who manages to get ahold of it and tries to play cops and robbers with their friend but ends up shooting their friend instead to cause a huge issue

5237086
There's much of this I agree with, and plenty I don't. I often hear the "Viddya games are the problem." More from the right than from the left, but both are guilty of this idiocy.
And naming a weapon "Yeet cannon" makes it sound too much like a toy/joke that I can easily see some child doing just what you've described.
Myself, I feel that gun owners should have a minimum gun safety course before owning a gun. Much like a car, people can do significant damage with them. And guns are designed to cause damage.
And asking the internet to name things is never a good idea.

5237153
I don't think that the safety course is necessary though, I learned to shoot and handle them properly without one, I think you just need to have a decent background check with no violent criminal record and someone to guide you in the right path, like my uncle who taught me to shoot them and all the safety rules such as, removing the magazine (if there is one) then pulling the slide back to check the chamber even if you set it down for two seconds, don't point it anywhere you don't want a bullet to go, keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot and you know that your surroundings are safe, e.t.c.

5237166
That was more of a general thing, a demonstration of basic safety and understanding is certainly good. Most people in general just buy a gun without understanding basic safety.
I was trained to handle fire arms by a marine who emphasized that even when broken down you treat a gun like it's loaded.
Coming from his service, one thing that makes him angriest about gun owners is how casually they treat these very dangerous tools. He's had a gun in his face more than once "as a joke." And this "Yeet cannon" is only going to be treated with less respect.

How does a gun earn a meme name? It's a weapon and it had a meme name? Who and how did this get passed in any same way?

I am so confused that a gun got called the Yeet Cannon

The frick.
I love this.
