Work Update #23 · 3:25pm Mar 12th, 2020
So it's come to my attention that people are starting to give up on me ever releasing any new chapters for certain stories I haven't worked on in some time. While I can confirm that giving up those stories has never once crossed my mind and that I have every intention of finishing what I started (which is part of the reason I haven't written any new long-form stories), it's also true that I see things from a different perspective as the author. Since I'm always thinking about and am aware of all of my stories, it doesn't seem like that much time goes by, but to the readers who have to wait (especially those who've only followed one or two of the many stories I've written) it can feel like an eternity.
While I can say that I have a ton of stories I have to keep track of as the author, and while I've found it much easier to work on one story at a time, I've come to the conclusion that it wouldn't do to ignore the above-mentioned readers who've been patiently (or impatiently) waiting for new chapters of other stories I haven't spent any time on. In light of that, I've decided to go back to working on each of my stories in rotation, starting with The Dissonant Infection and going down the list (I'm skipping over It Sleeps Beneath Foal Mountain since I just released a chapter). Granted even with this method there will still be quite a wait between updates for the ones who are only interested in one or two of my stories given how many stories I have to work on, but here's hoping I can get back into the swing of things.
Looking forward to it.
I look forward to new updates!
While I've certainly enjoyed Foal Mountain, there are absolutely a few older stories that I've missed. I understand that you have to find a rhythm with a story however, so I'd understand not wanting to sacrifice the flow of creativity by limiting yourself to a set release rotation.
Whatever works best for you, but I'm definitely happy to see some older works so I won't complain
