-Possible coup in China, troop movements in Beijing, powerful people not happy with Xi Jinping
I know many of you guys are here for Star Wars, but this stuff affects me in a personal level. Saudi Arabia has influence over certain schools and Islamic Radical groups in Indonesia. Having someone like MBS in control could mean the Radicals become more aggressive.
For China, Indonesia has been annoyed by the Chinese continuously intruding in our territory with even Frigates entering our waters.
Our military is not yet done modernizing. We are not yet prepared for a more aggressive China. I fear someone who is aggressive replaces Xi Jinping.
Yes, modernizing the TNI could have gone faster if it weren't for corruption due to the Old Guard and America threatening over a mere 11 Su-35s we bought (stupid I know, tf are 11 Su-35s going to do against the squadrons of F-35s in Australia and the occasional American Carrier Groups passing by? WE'RE ARMING OURSELVES AGAINST CHINA YOU STUPID CUNTS IN CONGRESS). Fact is, we're not done modernizing. And it's not helping that the US Congress is breathing down our necks with the Pentagon and the State Department trying to persuade them otherwise.
This corruption in the government and military, ya'll know it's America's fault right? A lot of these guys are in the payrolls of the American military industrial complex and they're all remnants of the Old Guard left behind by Suharto's reign whom America helped gain power. Us Indonesians are sitting above one of the biggest goldmines of resources in the world and one of the world's busiest and most important trade routes.
Cold War is over. There is no need to keep us destabilized. The Old Guard is so far-right they'll end up finding a resurrected Andrew Breitbart shitting himself to death on a toilet while masturbating to a picture of Adolf Hitler in short shorts.
The Young Bloods in the TNI's officer corps thankfully are more open, more liberal. But the Old Guard is so entrenched in their power that we have no choice but wait for every single one of them to fucking die of old age.
Yeah fuck me sideways right? Think of Indonesia currently as the Republic under Finis Valorum. Weak due to corruption which equals to inaction. Difference is the potential is there, plans have been made, and we have friends everywhere.
Good thing Indonesia's population is one of the youngest in the world. But things are going faster now and we must catch up. I'm scared of the day I return home to find an unrecognizable Indonesia in a negative way.
In my dad's opinion: Indonesia is not ready for a democracy. We need a strongman take charge who is an actual patriot who also wipes out corruption. Wishful fucking thinking since power corrupts.
My opinion: Indonesia's overwhelming youth must take the streets and the younger officers of the TNI's officer corps need to launch a coup. Order 66 the Old Guard who continue to hold us back.
I needed to vent that out. While American media pays attention to an old man with dementia who doesn't give a rat's ass about the LGBT Community, minorities, or the poor in general (Fuck Joe Biden seriously), other events are going on around the world and nobody's paying attention. Hell, Erdogan and Turkey has become Putin's bitch. America lost a potential ally to Russia and nobody's paying attention. China's trying to control all of ASEAN and nobody's paying attention. America's favorite Saudi, aka MBS, who killed a journalist just arrested his own relatives and the Saudis got their asses handed to them on a silver platter in Yemen and nobody's paying attention.
