Playing Pokemon Blue and some other news · 11:31am Feb 9th, 2020
Yeah, playing Pokemon Blue. As in, the game that came out in 1996 or so. Why? Hm, dunno, I think I'm just in mood for some old games... plus been thinking about playing some of the older games after hearing that Sword and Shield weren't exactly as well receieved as previous generations. Also I've recently decided to watch all of Linkara's Atop the Fourth Wall videos in order (reviews comic books), and just got past the storyline where he fights Missingno on his show while reviewing a comic book (as in, it's a character on his show; yeah, his show is weirdly awesome like that 
), and realized that despite being a massive Pokemon fan once upon time I never saw Missingno as I hadn't learned about that glitch until... well, sometime within the last decade at least.
Of course, I'm playing the version on N3DS, got it from the virtual store, I don't have the old Game Boy (though I think its games can be played on Game Boy Advance and I have that one... but meh, it's faster to buy it online and download it). Wish I would have an opportunity to use the team I'll train in it to play somebody, but I doubt that this version would work quite like today's Pokemon games can, with internet letting you fight people around the world. I do know that I can connect wirelessly to another Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow version to fight, so might look up my old friend from high school if he would wanna get the game himself and meet up in a few months xD
Anyway, so far I only got two badges and I have on my team Wartortle, Nidorina (gonna evolve her via Moonstone on level 23 so she would know Body Slam, anybody thinks its a bad idea for some reason let me know quickly ;p) and Pikachu (not sure when to evolve that one... learns Thunder on level 43, but I could always use TM to make him learn it, plus I'm not sure if I'll keep him up until the end on my team). I'm probably gonna get Dugtrio for the next Gym, but I don't think I will keep him... Got a pretty good idea what I want my final team to be, and without Exp. Share training is time consuming of course so don't wanna waste it on Pokemon I won't be taking to the Legue. However, I am curious about what Pokemon would you suggest I should try training, and what Pokemon did you yourself trained when you played this old-ass game. If I remember correctly myself, the only time I beat Pokemon Red (on an emulator, as I didn't get Game Boy until 2002), I had Blastoise, Weezing, Muk, Electrode, Dugtrio, and most likely one of the legendary birds, don't remember which... probably Zapdos. Yeah, my team wasn't most diverse. Some of you with better memories might have realized that aside from Blastoise, all those Pokemon can be caught and a very high level (in Dugtrio's case, in relation to the location they can be caught), so the reason why I picked that team is that I was an extremely lazy child.
Anyway, gonna finish the game, THEN go see Missingno. Not planning to catch it, just wanna see him (aaand maybe get Rare Candy duplicated so I won't have to train my final team up to 100 level the old fashioned way). After that I'll play Pokemon Crystal, since I never played that version, not even on an emulator, and I also learned that in N3DS version of it you can actually catch Celebii! From the first 4 generations, the only Pokemon I never caught was Celebii and Deoxys (I gradually lost interest with Pokemon afterwards, which is why I never tried catching them all again 
Gonna try on Blue and Crystal though, since it will be easy), so I am very excited at the thought.
Now, some other news? Work has been taught as of late, had to go help out at the digsite for three days, including Saturday, which is why I am extremely tired and not writing. Sorry! I will get back to writing during next week, very likely on Weekend, but I will see to it that the chapter will be finished soon. I think I promised that next would be Rebirth, right? Hm, would all of you be mad if instead I would work on Stars in the Making? It hasn't been updated in a LONG time, and I sorta got into mood to write a chapter for them... And Rebirth would be getting two more chapters afterwards at least! By afterwards I mean before I'll sit down to writing Infinite Potential, which will very likely take two months again
Hm, finally watched RBWY volume 7. I watched up to 4 episodes before stopping a few months back. As I mentioned several times, I was severly disappointed with a certain development in the previous volume. You see, after reading a huge amount of stories, novels, books, fanfiction and whatnot, I came to believe that honesty, while important, has its bounds, and some secrets should be kept. Volume 6 of RBWY spat on that idea by demonizing the character for doing so, and what's worse, there wasn't any attempt at the main cast trying to understand him, putting themselves in his place and trying to imagine what he went through and why did he decide to lie and keep secrets. And then, when volume 7 started, the main cast, who is constantly being portrayed as having moral high ground, in those first 4 episodes does the very same thing to their only ally. I. Hate. Hypocrisy. Anyway, now that the season had finally wrapped up, I watched the rest. It was still enjoyable, despite that I am disappointed with that one aspect it is still only one aspect. The story is good, characters go through interesting developments, music is great and so is animation, fights are amazing. Now, if only in the next volume the main casts admits to their f*** ups, the show will regain my previous regard towards it (before volume 6 it was my second favorite show, right below Steven Universe but above MLP - yeah, I know. Love my ponies, but there are better shows - and several others. Of course, now the podium would look a bit different, with several new shows I had watched and some having ended already or changed as well...).

It has passed almost one year since the last chapter
Its better to make a good ending rather than leaving it (Stars In The Making) unfinished. I’ve been following this fic for 4 years now, and I still like it ever since, even if MLP is at an end but I still love Starfall no matter what :)
