No, not Starlight Glimmer. I don't negotiate with communists anyways. This is more about the actual stars, like the ones seen aiding in Nightmare Moon's escape.
So there are these beings called Stars that live in space, and they want to conquer the planet of happy little ponies that our tiny horses live on and add it to their vast empire. Thing is, they can't even go into the planet's atmosphere because of the magic wards provided by the Elements of Harmony. Meanwhile, back on the planet, Luna gets jealous that no one's looking at her art, goes Nightmare, and gets banished to the Moon, with even more powerful Harmonic wards surrounding the Moon. So the Stars work for a thousand years to unravel these wards and use Nightmare Moon as a proxy to conquer the planet, because as the prophecy said, "the Stars will aid in her escape". Nightmare Moon finally escapes, but a wild Twilight Sparkle appeared and it turned out to be a horde battle +1, so that venture ultimately went nowhere.
Cut to after Twilight's coronation, where there are these Star collaborators called the Starlight Society that kidnap Twilight and her Council of Five a mere ten seconds after the coronation. They all wake up in this metal facility somewhere up in the Far North and...
It's an idea that's been bouncing around my head for a while. If you bug me to write it, I might do something with it. But for now, ehh...
