    It's my birthday

I should've mentioned this beforehand, as I forgot to go to sleep early(my sleep schedule is all out of whack). I may or may not draw something for my bday, if I do make something, it'll just be flat colored, doesn't need to be fancy.

I know I don't have a lot to say, I've just been trying to get my stupidly slow start engine to run, so I can draw what I want to draw.

    Happy New Year

This has been a productive year for me on the art front, not so much for Literature though :fluttershysad:
but I want to change that next year. However, I want to balance it with drawing.

    Merry Christmas!

Hope you're doing alright, I've been surviving, not necessarily living, but surviving. So far this year has been an unpredictable one.

By the way, I have a Christmas drawing on the way, but it'll have to be either on Christmas Day or on the day after. I really wanted to upload something today, but I don't want to stress myself out.

My Journey Through The Decade · 4:11am Jan 1st, 2020

Welp, we’ve passed 2019, and onward to 2020. So much has changed for me personally, both for the good, and the bad. The future is uncertain, in that the direction of 2020 will be based on our decisions, and our choices. I don’t have much to offer compared to others who’ve commented about 2020, but I’d like to share a brief history of my time in the last decade. To be honest, I feel like I might regret this, but I’m doing it anyway.

I apologize if this sounds like some epic fanfiction made by a 13 year old, but I felt that I needed to make this blog, since It’s something special to me, and I want to do this, since this is only once every decade. By the way, you may have noticed that all the years are colored, I did this because I always think of colors for each year. Sorry if I don’t seem my normal self in this, I was letting my inner self show, and it was... eh. I want you all to listen to this song, as we watch the curtains lower over the 2010’s...

Before you scroll down, keep in mind, I’m telling these years through my perspective. This is mainly a review of the 2010’s, through my eyes.

2010
“Shiny Toy Yellow”

I was sitting on my ass watching Lego Clutch Powers, holding my Hero Factory Ordeal of Fire figure. I didn’t pay mind at the start of the 2010’s, just cared for what I was doing at the time. Bionicle had recently ended at that time, and I was getting into Hero Factory.

2011
“Nice Vanilla White, sometimes grey”

I remember it as being an alright year. I mostly remember it as being the one that started my first fanfiction. Though it was never written, I remember it as being the first to spark the gears of imagination within--at least in the 2010’s. This fanfiction was about a planet my self insert created, that was the sanctuary for those who I saw compassion in. Drawn To Life and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon crossing over to this world, with the Reposa living in harmony, without the fear of Wilfre. The self insert of this time wasn’t given a name for a long time, until I finally gave him one this year, Groval. They had many adventures, until Groval fell sick, and was possessed by his shadow... the original Dark Samuel.

His friends had climbed the world’s tower, the heart of the planet, connected to it’s core. They managed to help Groval break free, so he could defeat this shadow once and for all...

2012
“Bright Red”

This was an alright year, though it had some weird stuff in it, which makes me question my pre-teen self. Ninjago was peaking my interest more and more, resulting in me becoming a fanatic for snakes for a brief period. I had a snake sona, but I never had a distinct form for him. This was also the year I found myself being the most embarrassed of, with things I dare not talk about.

The feelings of embarrassment bled into Groval’s planet, with the result of AB, a demonic rat, that almost devastated Groval. Groval was the dark knight, and AB was his Joker.

2013
“Spring Green”

This was a decent one. Though this was one where my fanfictional world of Groval, had crumbled and fell. But during it’s fall, I made an OC and story for Lego Legends of Chima. He was a red dragon, being the last of his tribe. The dragon was also nameless, until I decided this year to call him Drago-chi.

This was also the year when I began to grow interested in a certain Rainbow maned Pegasus. Groval had struggled to keep his world alive, but eventually he had to give his life, for a helpless cause. Rumor has it, that he lived on in the soul of Drago-chi.

To be honest, to this day, I’m left with questions, regarding 2011-2013, more specifically Groval’s story. For me, somehow I remembering everything happening all at the same time, or that the whole thing feels like it took place in one year. If I were to be honest with myself, I feel like it could’ve all happened in 2012-2013, and 2011 was more far’fetched. Regardless on when this all took place, there’s no denying Groval was a story-line that helped me cope with the ending of Drawn to Life The Next Chapter. Now a lot of you probably don’t know what I mean, but if you do--you know EXACTLY what I mean...

2014
“Earthy Blue”

Thunder Spirit’s year. Thunder Spirit being an OC I remember being one of the best of the decade for me. He was strong, he was badass, mysterious, and was somewhat of an anti-hero, having a Godzilla-like mentality. He also loved Rainbow Dash, making this the first year I declared to myself to loving her. Another thing about this year, was my first step into writing. I wanted to write a novel, but I wanted it to be about me and Dash. But since I wanted to release this novel, I came up with the idea of creating a brand new world(just for this story), and having characters who’re meant to be me and Dash’s avatars. The novel was named Silver, and it planned on having 4 sequels or so, but the forth one didn’t really have anything to do with the others.

Though the reasons were that I never came around to it, my personal opinion would be due to it’s insanely awful writing. It’s even worst than my first fic, PERIOD. But despite the flaws, I saw it as a potential outlet for Thunder Spirit to grow. This year was also special for Godzilla’s comeback, which helped inspire me with Thunder Spirit. My backstory for Thunder Spirit would change drastically throughout 2014, from being an alien from Earth, to an ancient creature trapped in ice older than Celestia herself, even an origin involving him being an evolved form of Groval was proposed. By the end of the year, I couldn’t decide on any origin for him. I decided to change my OC in the next year, but what followed was something I could never anticipate.

2015
“Ruby Red Color”

For me, 2014 was the last good year for me personally, for that the year of the sheep was the beginning of the worse years of my life. Yet this year pales when compared to the future ones. Despite everything against me in 2015, I tried. I tried coming up with stories that I’d remember, but they always fell, reboot after reboot, but I kept falling within. But one character persisted throughout the stories, one who evolved from a white pony with green hooves, to a human with a blue scarf. I call this ever changing self insert Scarf Blade. By December of that year, I creatively ran out of steam.

Though as a last note on 2015, that year I also created another piece of original fiction. It was based on a homemade board game, called Samroica. Samroica’s story was pretty basic, in that it was kinda implied in the beginning as being in the same world as Silver, but taking place thousands of years later. It followed the tale of four friends. Samur, a green and blue lizard, who longed to be with a female avian. Dilbert, an orange earthian lizard, who I always saw as slightly chubby. He was actually based on one of my IRL friends. Vizor, a sand blue ninja who always kept his face a secret. I don’t remember the fourth one’s name, sadly. The story was about the boys wanting to find four relics to receive a million gold reward.

Unfortunately, unlike Silver(which I printed out), Samroica got lost in cyberspace. I believe it’s still in my old Nextbook, but good luck getting that hunk of junk to work.

2016
“Emerald Green”

Arguably worst than 2015, since this year I felt more and more depressed. Granted, my reasons for being depressed changed over the decade, but this year, I think we can all agree, was pretty divisive. However, this year, I decided to start writing. I’ve only ever written two major stories back then, ones that had a beginning, middle, and end. The ones I’m referring to, are Silver and Samroica.

All the other stories I’ve written that weren’t complete, were never finished. 2016 had my first MLP themed story; Sam The Earth Pony. Yes, the original version of the story told from 2017-2019. Sam The Earth Pony was never really planned to be a big long series, even with it’s poor writing, it had a beginning, middle, and an end, being very self contained, ending with Samneo and Rainbow kissing. I will admit, I kinda miss the times when I made a story, that was self contained. Nowadays, I feel inclined to somehow fit this into a timeline, and that into a much bigger verse. You’ll see what I mean later in 2021.

2017
“Maroon Red”

Now we’re onto the ones most of you know of as when I first came here. I decided I wanted to port Sam The Earth Pony over to FimFiction, It should’ve been easy, right? How wrong I was. Meanwhile, while I was preparing to port it over, STEP’s sequel began production. Keep in mind, I had to write both Sam The Earth Pony and Samneo The Water Dragon on WordPad, which wasn’t as good as word. Not to mention, I’d sometimes witness a glitch with WordPad, which would erase my work on the document, resulting in a blank document. I would be devastated whenever that happened.

I tried to port over my first story to FimFiction, but would hit many obstacles. Needless to say, if you’re someone like JackRipper, you know what my beginnings were, on this platform. So anyways, I actually tried to skip the earth pony entirely, and just port over the sequel, with a prologue that told about the previous story... yeah that didn’t work out well. Eventually I decided to remake The Earth Pony from the ground up, and since The Earth Pony was going back on track, The Water Dragon(the sequel)’s future was put into question. I would wonder various different ideas, unsure what path to follow. Every time I settle on one path, I’d find myself going onto a different track. Needless to say, 2017 wasn’t a very good start.

2018
“Pearl Gold”

At the start of the year, I already had gotten an idea on where to take Neocros, and his story. But in this time, I found myself having doubts in Samneo, and I would get writer’s block several times. Sadly, it resulted in me only getting a few chapters done that year, thanks to that GODDAMN WRITER’S BLOCK!!

Meanwhile, I was having thoughts on what I could do in the future, and I want to do something that... though I wouldn’t call it this, as it feels wrong, but I felt that what I wanted to do after Neocros, was... ambitious.

2019
“Nice, bright wood brown”

Without a doubt, this year was the most divisive for me personally. On one hand, there were a few decent moments, but on the other, there were some awful things about it, things that would’ve made the 14 year old me commit suicide, but I’m still standing, but cause I’m tired of seeing death all the time. Sorry for that, I needed to get that off my chest.

By the time I concluded The Earth Pony, it was obvious to me that I had a more fleshed out story to be told. Neocros Adventures is the beginning of something I wish to present to you.. though you may need to wait a little bit before I announce that special project, that I’ve been planning ever since 2018.

Now

As I stand here, looking back at the start of the 2010’s, and looking at 2020... which at the time of writing this, I’m only Minutes away from this year. After all the pain I’ve felt, from 2015 to 2019, I wish to make this new year something special, something that I’ll cherish for eternity, something you and I will remember. I apologise for.. well, what I’ve described in each of the years, but I thought that it’d be interesting to revisit them, before we start a new chapter. I’m sorry if this sounds cheesy, and weird, but then again... aren’t we all weird? For liking multicolored horses?

Behold, the start of a New Decade!

Welcome!
2020!

...and I wish you... a Happy New Year...

But in all seriousness, last decade has a legacy that will be remembered by us. Sorry if the blog was more about me, and less about us, but I figured that since others would make it about us, I felt I wouldn’t have brought anything new to the table.

Throughout the decade, we’ve brought a show of multicolored ponies to the mainstream. I’m unsure if there’ll ever be a show that’ll be as big as a phenomenon as MLP:FiM, and it’s all thanks to us, that the show became as big as it has. Not only that, but the beautiful artwork, videos, fan projects and stories that came from it. It’s something that I don’t know will happen again in a while. But nonetheless, I hope you all have a good 2020.

As for the blog itself; If I had to make any more comments, it’ll be the following:

1) I wished I would delve into my older self insert characters, that existed way before coming to this site, but this blog would be too long to read.
2) I included 2010, mainly because it’s the start, and there wasn’t much to cover for it.

so many regrets putting welcome 2020 :facehoof::fluttershysad:
