Older, but not really wiser · 4:01am Dec 17th, 2019
I'm definitely older today. It's that number increasing day. You know the one. Yes, I got horses from my family. Score.
I spent part of my day trying to find a roadside shelter from a tornado. Note, I did say I'm no wiser.
So, I recently got a script that scans my WIP folder daily, and makes entries as to the word count difference in Google Sheets. I'm not doing a lot, but I am doing a something.
I'm very much trying to have something out soonish. Probably a short stand alone thing, but Christmas break and the lack of work may spur me to greater word count. In that vein, I'm looking for some people who want to have ideas bounced off of them, much like dodge balls, and who feel like giving feedback and/or suggestions for things. I've asked one friend to check out a SoL romance thing and another to check out a different SoL Romance thing with slightly more adventure sometimes peaking though. One is CHS, one is horses and CHS. I may have a horse thing O need help with soon too. And another horse thing.
Basically, I've started distracting myself on how awful I feel my own writing is by switching what I write. So I've got 3 or 4 things with words going into them a bit at a time. Maybe by 2022 I'll finish something?
Merry whatever winter holiday you feel best suites you.
Happy Number Increasing Day and Merry Whatever Winter Holiday to you as well, best of luck with the writings.
Congrats for completing another orbit around the Sun!
Happy birthday, kits! Unless I'm misunderstanding something; I'm sometimes bad at reading between the lines.
Can't help you with the written word feedback, I'm afraid - I'm not a huge fan of romance, myself, and in any case I've got prior engagements of my own to focus on - but I hope you find the right person or people for the job.
Whoa. I definitely don't have birthdays that exciting. The heck is the story behind that?
tornados, wtf c.c

Tornado warning on drive home from work. Took shelter in a Publix. Not great since it's a giant shred, but better than outside. Got told 6:15 is when it's going be near my area. It was 5:30. I'm 15 minutes from home. Figured 45-15 -> 30 is ok. They revised time to 5:50. Got slammed by the rain-wall of teh storm 100 yds from house. Had to drop to idle speeds to stay on road. Spent ~2 seconds out of car to get to door. Was completely soaked.
Heard roaring while waiting out storm in house. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
