Serious update & Twitch Stream tonight · 2:23am Dec 9th, 2019
So I figured it was worth setting the "take nothing serious" persona aside for a moment and come clean.
The past 5 years have been pretty wild. I've had a bankruptcy, eviction, surgery, and lived and worked in 4 different states. There have been a lot of what you'd consider "life changing events" if you were filing for taxes or healthcare. As a result of this stress, I've been incredibly successful at shutting out all my personal connections to other people.
And while shutting people out is a viable short-term coping strategy for stress, you wake up one day and realize... you have no friends, no connections, just lists of people you used to know and chat with.
If you're reading this, odds are I probably haven't so much as IM'd you once in years. Others I would chat with for a month or two at random before some stressor caused me to ignore them again. And of course every so often I would start writing again before feeling unfulfilled about the friendships I was making, which re-inforced my desire to shut everyone out.
So I've decided to start reconnecting with people.
I apologize if it seemed like I cut you off for no reason or over something petty. The first step will be inviting everyone to come ask or chat about anything while we enjoy some video games. As I build up more confidence rebuilding friendships, I'll reach out in other places that I am comfortable.
If you'd like to just chat and relax for a bit, catch up, or ask questions about my stories and plans, feel free to drop by my twitch stream. If it goes well I'll do some more streams as a way to start connecting with people again. My goal for tonight is to stream for a few hours and re-connect with at least one person from my past. I welcome everyone to stop by and hang out to chat.

It's cool maybe next time! Had a few people stop by and chat, it's been so long since I felt like I was "hanging out with the guys." I'll have to keep doing it.
And since I dropped by for an update comment, I'll say I've got 1 sequel idea and one original story idea that would be my first story to ever occur after season 4-5 of the show (it'd be post-season 9)
You and I have never really hung out in the sense that you're describing. We've more sort of been in the peripherals of one another's spheres of influence. Still, I just wanted to say it's pretty cool you're taking that step and trying to reconnect with people.

Hey i know this is unrelated but I've always wondered about your banner that says something about "Kaiden is only suitable for adults who are okay with the following ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ and rubber" I've always wondered what the blurred out words were.
Well then as a long time lurker it seems I need to come out and extend that hand in friendship or something.
Not here because of your post directly above but I DID remember and decided to look up a few of your stories tonight. Been a good while too; I assume that must meen they are quality.
Good to see you're still around. I had imagined that you had lost interest, been banned (I still remember that time someone messed with the site to call for you to be unbanned... Never heard much of the story behind that. Too busy working.), or worse.
I think I will check out this twitch stream.

I outlined a whole trilogy and someone once offered to take over but life is life and I got distracted. If I start writing again it's in the top 3 with Puppet and DoH for things I actually want to write/finish. But asking if I'll write again is like looking at that FF7 save you put 40 hours into 5 years ago and wondering if you really want to try and figure out what's going on, or just start a new game... not an easy one to answer.

I'd like to know what the hell happened too but it was never really the right time to poke the bear and try to find out. Lesson learned: if you run with a shady crowd, and they do shady things, you need to take responsibility for it and apologize. About all I could do.
