One Million. (Chapter 94 of Long Haul is out!) · 10:00pm Nov 29th, 2019
Howdy there, everyone! It's Friday again, so you know what that means. That's right, there's a new chapter of Long Haul going up for you all to dig into over this weekend. I hope you from the US all had a good Thanksgiving yesterday, I know I was pleasantly surprised to not have it ruined this year by political infighting among family members. That, I do generally like to keep nice and contained to just my stories. Anyway, if you're here for the chapter, please, have at it! If you generally care to stay for the other parts of my blog, well, you'll find that below.
One million words. It's been a hell of a journey to get here, and we're not done yet. I hope I'd made that clear enough in my last blog post, but I can't really believe I've already hit this milestone. But with it, comes a bit of a confession. Over the past few months I could never really get past my August break. Things have been progressing slowly in my writing, slower than I'd like, and that's something I don't admit lightly. My backlog is basically down to two chapters, and I just haven't sat down and hammered out more than a thousand words per week.
Lucky for me, I know exactly why things have turned out this way, and it's because I've been having a hard time telling my friends 'No' when they ask to do an activity. While I do plan on correcting that and finding a balance again with my writing, it's going to take me time to get back up to the level of productivity I want to be at. So, while December will proceed as normal for uploads, I'm going to only post one chapter in January. It doesn't sound like a whole lot of a change, but between now and the start of February, it'll give me enough of a stretch to build things up again. Again, it's something that's on me, and I really shouldn't have let it get this bad. But the holidays are the perfect time to correct that, so that's what I'm going to do.
Anyway, that's all for this week's post. Please, do go and enjoy the new chapter. Feel free to leave your thoughts on it in the comments, both the good and the bad. Of course I'll be back once more in two weeks with another new chapter and blog post for you all. Until then, do take care, and I'll see you all right back here, next time.
WOOHOO! ONE MILLION WORDS!!!
Don't be too hard on yourself for not being in the mood to write. Friends are important too; learning when to say no is an important skill though.

Thanks for following along with the whole story so far! It means a lot to still have you around and commenting! And yeah, I've just gotta get back to that place where I can not give in to the temptation to procrastinate. It won't be easy, but I'll manage to get there again.
